SCA Girls & Gwen Liz Boys Win CSSSA Football Championship Belize City, February 8, 2017 The St. Catherine Academy girls and the Gwen Lizarraga High School boys will represent the City at this weekend’s National Secondary Schools Sports Association (NSSSA) football championships, hosted by San Pedro High School at the Ambergris Stadium. Defending champs SCA won their 3rd Central Secondary Schools Sports Association CSSSA football championship: 1-0 against the Ladyville Technical High School girls who took 2nd place at the MCC Garden last Wednesday. SCA won Game 2 of the Finals: 1-0 with a goal by Charlize Hunter, after SCA won Game 1 on Monday with goals by Gabriela Mendoza and Jodi Pott. The Gwen Liz boys won the CSSSA championship by an aggregate score of 5-0 over the St. John’s College boys. Jadon “Cheetes” Macgregor from Hattieville

Gwen Liz boys scored 2 goals after Keyron Patnett scored the 1st goal for their 3-0 win in Game 2 of the Finals on Wednesday.

Gwen Liz also won Game 1: 2-0 on Monday, with goals by Keyron Patnett and Michael Deshield.
