MakerLabs PhoneBooth
The concept for the MakerLabs PhoneBooth began with the belief that it should be easily assembled using minimal tools and simple materials. MakerLabs worked together with architectural graduate student Lucas Akira Druet to create a simple and refined design solution for what is considered version 1 of the MakerLabs PhoneBooth. Constructed primarily of 18mm plywood and 6mm acrylic the phone booth is made using a CNC router table, a table saw, and a drill. The assembly instructions and CNC prep files will allow anyone to reach out to their local maker space or fabrication lab to build and assemble the phone booth. Additional lighting, power connection, and ventilation systems can be integrated as needed. Customization to the phone booth through finishes, paints, hacks, and full design modifications are welcome and encouraged!
