Our commitment to our customers and training environment saw the installation of 2 x 60kw Bio Mass boilers. These boilers aid the heating of the training centre and also reduce our carbon footprint.

Part of your Team Our team work hard ensure that we deliver a professional and personal service. From booking courses to organising replacement cards, our team will ensure that the level of service you receive is of the highest standard.

Our instructors are directly employed with a wealth of experience. Neil Gray, Rob Martin and Kevin Hall each hold over 15 years experience in the industry and progressed from CISRS Advanced Scaffolder’s.

Robert Slaughter comes from a military background, he has worked in the access industry for over 10 years and has a wealth of Health and Safety knowledge. Majority of our instructors hold NEBOSH qualifications.

Tony Whiteman, our NVQ assessor has 40 years experience in the construction industry. Tony works closely with candidates working towards their Scaffold qualification.

IPAF Powered Access LTC Training Services is an accredited International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) Training Centre offering the full range of IPAF courses, delivered by our Senior IPAF Instructor Robert Slaughter and instructor’s Rob Martin and Kevin Hall. To provide flexibility to our clients, training can be held at our Head Office in Plymouth (Devon), our Satellite Centre in Redruth (Cornwall), as well as on-site at our clients premises.

Training in the use of work equipment is required by law.

Candidates who successfully complete IPAF training are awarded the PAL Card (Powered Access Licence), the most widely held and recognised proof of training for platform operators which is valid for 5 years and can be easily verified by contacting IPAF. PASMA Aluminium Towers LTC Training Services is an accredited PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers and Manufacturers Association) Training Centre offering the full range of PASMA courses, delivered by our PASMA Instructors Robert Slaughter and Neil Gray.

Training in the use of work equipment is required by law.

Candidates who successfully complete PASMA training are awarded a PASMA Card and Certificate, valid for 5 years; the industry accepted proof of training for those involved in the assembly, use, inspection and dismantling of aluminium towers.

CISRS Scaffold Inspection Training The Basic SITS (Scaffold Inspection Training Scheme) course is intended for persons responsible for inspecting and checking basic scaffolds for safe use and for signing certificates and registers in accordance with statutory regulations.

The Advanced SITS (Scaffold Inspection Training Scheme) course is intended to give attendees such knowledge so as to enable them to understand how to inspect basic and more complexed designed scaffolding structures in accordance with the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and Scaffolding industry best practice.

Abrasive Wheels Mounters Courses - To provide training in the safe mounting of abrasive wheels and discs on portable grinding/cutting machines in accordance with the provision of Work Equipment regulations 1998.

Manual Handling - To ensure delegates have enough understanding of how to minimise the risk of injury to themselves and others by increasing the awareness of potential manual handling hazards in the workplace.

Working at Heights - To provide basic information to anyone involved or aected by working at height.

Safety Harness Use and Inspection - Candidates will be able to use and correctly inspect and record harness inspection and associated equipment for use in the workplace.

LTC Training Services In-House Courses

Scaffold Appreciation - The aim of this course is to give candidates an understanding of basic scaffold structures, safety and legislative issues relating to scaffolding. The course provides such knowledge so as to enable them to identify the minimum requirements that a scaffold structure should meet.

Safe Use and Inspection of Ladders - To provide training in the safe use and inspection of ladders. The course is aimed at improving knowledge and enhancing ability to use the equipment safely in accordance with the Working at Height Regulations.

First Aid Training

The Health and Safety Regulations 1981 require Employers to

provide suitable first-aid equipment, facilities and personnel so that immediate assistance can be given to Employees if they are injured or become ill at work. The Regulations state that in order to provide first-aid, a person isn’t suitable unless they have undergone-appropriate training and qualifications to meet HSE standards.
