Intensity will enable a wine to remain longer in our senses. Ultimately, the crucial attributes for a wine to stand out, as for beauty, will be elange and honesty. In 1983, after decades of working the land, Luis Maria Rodriguez and Charo Urarte embarked on a project, turning the fruit of their vines into wines of a marked personality of their own.
Sólo el amor por la tierra y el vino puede explicar esta decidida apuesta iniciada por esta familia con el fin de mantener la viticultura histórica de la zona y proyectarla con esperanzas de futuro. Hoy, con sus hijos Luis y Alfredo, la historia continua, uniendo a estos motivos el conseguir que su gama de productos vinícolas puedan ser internacionalmente apreciados.
Only the love for the world of wines can explain the bet and fight initiated by this family to keep the historic viticulture of the Region and projets with hopes of future. Con 33 hectáreas de viñedo propio repartidas en diferentes parcelas en la localidad de Lanciego, nuestro proyecto, a pesar de pequeño,es uno de los más cuidados de la zona. Las diferencias climáticas, de altitud, orientación y tipo de suelo que entre ellas existen confieren un caráter distinto a cada vino. Habiendo sin embargo en todos ellos un denominador común, la alta expresión y la marcada personalidad que el terruño les confiere.
33 Hectares of state-owned vines spread in different plots in the Village of Lanciego, Rioja Alavesa, makes this project a very small but one of the most carefully run in the district. The differences in climate, altitude and soil between the plots bring a distinctive nuance to the character of each wine. Backed up by a system of bush vine plantation and picking of the grapes by hand into 15kg containers. Our viticulture methods only achieve the best expression of the terroir respecting the land and the environment.
