per·se·ver·ance /ˌpərsəˈvirəns/
noun
persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. The Class of 2020 entered their freshman year during the Great Flood of 2016 and graduated in the middle of a worldwide pandemic and persevered through it all! From academics to athletics and the arts, this year’s seniors took nothing for granted and lived the school motto “Total effort in every endeavor.” Together, they learned to rise above uncertain times and unusual circumstances with grace and strength, and the result is an impressive tally of collective achievements and accolades listed on the following pages. To the Class of 2020, thank you for being a reminder that as a Cub community, we are stronger together and remember – Once a Cub, Always a Cub! A special project funded by ULSF provided each member of the Class of 2020 with a yard sign to celebrate their upcoming graduation. Thank you to senior parent Chanler Holden Mittendorf for designing the signs.
