Our Department of Agricultural & Extension Education & Evaluation prepares future leaders to become educators in schools and extension professionals in the community. They help farmers and gardeners produce better crops, teach families about nutritious foods and lead high schoolers to discover a passion for plants and animals. This department focuses on two of Louisiana’s greatest assets — the agriculture industry and our people. Students learn about effective teaching methods and techniques from world-class faculty as they prepare for careers
in both formal environments, such as
high schools, and non-formal areas,
including the cooperative extension
service, where they help the community
learn about agriculture and nutrition.
