Referrals are accepted from medium, low-secure and locked rehabilitation services as well as the community, where placements may have been unsuccessful. Many of the service users at Wentwood Court have slow recovery pathways, with some supported right through to palliative care.

The home offers easy access to the facilities of Newport, as well as the shops, libraries, cafes and leisure centres at nearby Chepstow. Service users who are eligible for mobility are supported by the staff team to acquire their own vehicles, although the home does have its own transport. 1
