The Library to host bike-themed activities and race viewing Wednesday, July 24
Chicago Grit, formerly known as Intelligentsia Cup, returns to Brookfield on Wednesday, July 24. Brookfield is hosting the sixth day of this 10-day bicycle race happening in various suburbs throughout the Chicago area. The Library will serve as a hub for race activities.
Race Day Watch Party & Events
Join us on the top floor of the Library for the coolest views of the race. Cycling fans and adrenaline junkies welcome! We’ll have race snacks available throughout the day, along with other bike-themed events.
Your Chance to Bike the Race Course
At 6:15 p.m. on the day of the race, Gears2You will be sponsoring a Family Fun Ride that begins at the Library. Come out with the family and ride the same course as the pros. The Library’s book bike, TheTitle Wave,will jointly lead the Family Fun Ride. Sponsored by Cycle Brookfield, the races will run from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Visit www.lsfbrookfieldlibrary.org/raceday to learn more.
Spot our library on wheels, TheTitleWave, Saturdays at the Brookfield Farmers Market and other community events around town. On most outings, TheTitleWavewill be stocked with a curated selection of Library materials that will be available for check-out.
