Complete your profile on the Graduateland platform Once you’ve registered for the fair, fill out your profile on the Graduateland platform with as much detail as possible. Having a complete profile will make your chat conversations with employers more valuable as the recruiter can get an overview of your profile easily. The fair platform will also show you the most relevant jobs and organisations for you based on your profile information. Update your CV Your CV will often be your first opportunity to make an impression with an employer and will frequently be used to make a very quick decision about your potential suitability for their organisation and role. To help make your CV the best it can be, you can book a 1:1 careers appointment with LSE Careers, a guide to CVs, cover letters and application forms or try out CareerSet, a handy tool which assesses your CV using AI and gives you immediate feedback. Once you’re happy, upload your CV onto the Graduateland fair platform: this means employers you speak to will already be able to see your CV ahead of your conversation. Research and interact with employers Before the fair, research the employers attending and take time to familiarise yourself with their virtual stands. You can initiate a conversation in advance via the chat function or during the event and share your CV if you wish. Employers may contact you via the platform so make sure you check for messages and respond to employers. There are lots of ways to interact with employers on the platform including chat messages, video conversations, joining breakout rooms and watching live presentations bit.ly/3zmNPTh. Plan your environment At the fair, you will have the opportunity to engage with employers through the Q&A, chat messages, breakout rooms and video calls. Make sure you dress appropriately, check that your camera and microphone work, and ensure your background looks professional. Take notes Keep a notepad next to you and write down any new information you learn about organisations and sectors; you can use this information to enhance your job applications and interviews. Keep a note of peoples’ names for future networking and of application deadlines to ensure you apply on time! Follow-up after the events 1. Follow-up with employers on LinkedIn and social media. 2. Thank the organisations/individuals you spoke to for their time and re-state your interest. 3. Apply! Check the requirements and recruitment cycle - if it’s rolling don’t wait for the closing date, all roles may be full by then. Also, you can remind them of your interaction at the event. 4. Check your emails and remember to check that spam folder! You don’t want to miss out because of a lost message!

BTS in London Ltd. BTS exists to inspire and equip people to do the best work of their lives, creating better businesses and a better world. The pace of change is increasing. The primary barrier to success and progress for businesses is no longer technology, it’s people – their ability to learn, adapt and thrive, and for leaders to inspire and sustain their people through change. This is where BTS comes in. We focus on the people side of strategy, supporting leaders in shifting their culture, behaviours and ways of operating. We work with leaders at all levels to help them make better decisions, convert these decisions to actions and deliver results. We do this by developing customized business simulations and facilitating learning journeys in a workshop setting that incorporates humour, fun and competition. Our organisation is intentionally flat and it is not uncommon for partners and newly hired undergraduates to be working closely on accounts and projects. This is not the traditional consulting model where the senior partner takes the glory and the junior consultant does the hard work. This is a team environment where everyone can add value and is exposed to interesting work from day one. Apply online: www.bts.com/careers/current-opportunities
