Broadstone Craft began with a clear challenge: in a rapidly expanding Charlotte market filled with new multifamily developments, how could the client create a residential experience that not only stood out, but authentically reflected the character of its neighborhood? The design team grounded the project in the creative energy of Optimist Park and nearby NoDa—an arts district known for its evolution from mill village to a vibrant hub of individuality and cultural expression. This place‑based foundation shaped a branded environment intentionally crafted to feel local, immersive, and memorable.
Sharing a site with a beloved neighborhood brewery, Broadstone Craft draws inspiration from Charlotte’s brewery scene, NoDa’s expressive visual culture, and the bold textures and playful spirit of 70s–80s retro nostalgia. The guiding ethos, “Life Well Crafted,” informs a design strategy rooted in regional craft, nostalgia, and communal storytelling. Floor‑integrated wayfinding creates intuitive, playful paths that lead residents to interior spaces as well as to the adjacent brewery.
Inside, tactile and narrative cues define the leasing center and clubroom: barrel‑inspired seating nods to brewing culture, a sculptural tube‑TV feature wall channels analog creativity, a sunken conversation pit evokes 70s social lounges, and a craft‑beer bar is surrounded by hand‑applied decals from local breweries. The coworking mezzanine features a gallery wall of indie comic books celebrating NoDa’s creative legacy, while focus rooms with custom illustrations and a jazzercise‑inspired fitness mural extend the retro, movement‑driven aesthetic.

Our integrated wayfinding and signage systems are designed to help users navigate a space with ease while reinforcing brand identity and complementing the architectural environment. Drawing on deep expertise in accessibility requirements, signage codes, and industry best practices, our team develops thoughtful, intuitive solutions that balance clarity with creativity. Each sign type, material choice, and graphic element is intentionally crafted to enhance the user experience and contribute to a cohesive, visually engaging environment.

Strong brand identity design does more than make things consistent—it tells a story that helps people feel aligned with your purpose.

LS3P’s new Charlotte office was conceived with a clear mission: to foster a culture of collaboration and creativity within a flexible, transparent, and authentic environment that celebrates the people and their community. Purposeful design choices bring this vision to life, beginning with a welcoming and dynamic lobby that serves as the heart of activity. Wood floors and accents of red from Corten steel create a sense of warmth and authenticity, while expansive glazing floods the space with daylight and frames sweeping views, reinforcing transparency and connection.
A high contrast color palette within the open office energizes the environment while providing a neutral backdrop for artistic installations created by our own employees. These curated pieces transform the office into a living gallery, celebrating individuality and creativity. More than a workplace, this space embodies LS3P’s culture and values—a progressive environment designed to inspire innovation, continuous learning, and collective success.
