Shaka Kayaks Turtle-Viewing Tour

Stroll oceanfront trails and seaside pathways. Hear birds and breezes through Ironwood trees and the roar of crashing surf and the swaying palms. Visit our famous Banyan tree, the filming site for several TV shows and films. Paddle with Shaka Kayaks through Kawela Bay with, in an area that in ancient times was reserved for the Ali‘i or Hawaiian royalty. Spot one of the many Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles for our citizen science ID project. Stop at a honu “cleaning station” and watch as some of our honu line up to get cleaned. You will have the option to surf your kayak on small 1’ waves at the end of the trip or just relax and enjoy the calm protected waters of the bay.

Lū‘au Cultural Entertainment Dinner

Poolside Lounging

Set against a backdrop of Turtle Bay’s Stables and the ocean, this dinner show celebrates Hawai‘i’s rich history and influential cultures. Partake in the tradition of roasted pig and an assortment of delicious local favorites including vegetarian options, a welcome cocktail, and a cash bar. Plus fun treats and activities for the keiki!

‘Ukulele Lessons – Let’s make music together. In this introductory lesson you’ll learn basic ‘ukulele chords and strum to a Hawaiian tune. Hula Lessons – Discover the beauty of Hawai‘i’s storytelling dance. Learn basic hand gestures and footwork with our kumu (teacher).

Segway Tour – Discover a fun and unique way to explore our vast resort. Glide along the shoreline to the northernmost point of the island, where you’ll be treated to panoramic ocean views. There’s plenty to see along the way – native birds, coastal vegetation, and tide pools.

Pareu Printing – Colorful and vibrant, a pareu is a wraparound skirt commonly worn throughout Polynesia. This interactive workshop lets you try your hand at printing your own unique souvenir. Wood Carving Lessons – Learn different designs and techniques in this unique hands-on workshop. Led by a Polynesian artist, you’ll carve your very own story into a keepsake you’ll treasure forever. Private, semi-private and group lessons available daily, from beginner surf lessons to Stand-UpPaddle (SUP) tours in a private setting only we can provide, as the only commercial operator at Turtle Bay Resort and Kawela Bay.
