And now we travel on to El Salvador. William Sanchez Medrano is a seventh grader from El Salvador. He said one big difference between their schools and American schools is that if YOL:J get in troubl~, you have to clean the whole school w1tn the custodians. The thing he misses most is their food. Especially their Pupusas. These are tortillas filled with beans , cheese, and whatever you want. He said he would move back to El Salvador just to see his family and friends.

Everyone has a story and everyone is on a journey. Every journey is different and not one tory is the same. Nashaat Majo's story started as he took off from Iraq and set foot to the U.S. He came with his sister, four brothers, and parents but unfortunately, he had to leave a ister behind. He misses his other family in Iraq the most nd definitely doesn't miss the abusive teachers that punished the students if they didn't know the answers or if hey talked out of turn. But one of the hardships he faced by coming to the U.S. is learning English. Fortunately Nashaat's dad was a translator for the army in Iraq so he got to learn the basics before he came here to Park and before the, as he says, "wonderful teachers" taught him. He appreciates the brick building, nice teachers, and riendly students here at Park. Nashaat likes all of the merciful people that teach us, but Ms. Segrist stands out with her kindness. He wants to hank Park for teaching him to be safe, responsible, and respectful the best way there is.

What Mr. Kassebaum likes best about Park are the students. This is his 14th year at Park. Also, Mr. Kassebaum loves a lot of sports, but his favorite is basketball.
Mr; Burk 1s favorite part about teaching at Park is that when you first meet a student, you have no idea what their abilif e s are. You get to discover along
with them, which is an exciting perk of being a teacher.
His favorite color is green, his favorite sport is football, and his favorite instrument is the trombone
Mrs. Weier has been at Park for about 1O years. Her favorite sport is volleyball, and her favorite color is red.
Katherine Martinez Rodriguez and Elder Donis Garcia are 7th graders from Guatemala. They say the biggest difference between teachers here and there is that the teachers here are nicer.

In 2012, Mi chael Hart traveled to Ongenga, Namibia through a program called WorldTeach to teach computer classes at a junior high. He says, "The biggest difference between Namibia and The United States is heir laid back approach to life. Everyone was so patient here; no one was in a hurry to do anything. They take heir time to really enjoy life. 11 Mr. Hart says the thing he misses most is "getting to experience new things everyday and not taking things for granted. 11
was in Canada from the summer of 1988 until the summer of 1995. He says that the biggest differences are the money, no humidity, and the HUGE mosquitoes. Mr. Davis liked that the people were friendly, and that the summers weren't hot.
