Our Vision

The support of the La Porte ISD community is integral to the success of our district, its staff and its students. The La Porte ISD Partners in Education program provides businesses, industries, community organizations and volunteers with opportunities to help in ways that are meaningful to both the partners and the schools.

The proverb “It takes a village” is demonstrated by the Partners in Education program, through which our schools benefit from the involvement of area businesses—from small family-owned companies to larger businesses and industries— and community groups and individuals who want to make a positive difference in our schools. The Partners in Education program works closely with the La Porte-Bayshore Chamber of Commerce in promoting the program and opportunities to partner with our schools.

Throughout its history, La Porte ISD has welcomed and valued the participation of volunteers and business partners in our schools. The Partners in Education program serves as a central connector for business leaders and others in how they might support and develop positive relationships with our district.

Examples of Current Partnerships

• Businesses and Organizations Partnering with Individual Schools

Business/Campus Partnerships

La Porte ISD appreciates the involvement of businesses and community organizations that partner with a particular campus to offer support in a variety of ways. While donations and sponsorships are always genuinely appreciated, just as important are the relationships between the campuses and their partners. We are grateful for the ways our partners share their time, expertise, resources and ideas with La Porte ISD. Our goal is to have a business or community organization partner for every La Porte ISD campus.

To ensure the safety of our students and staff, Partners in Education representatives who will work with students must pass a background check. The volunteer application is available on the La Porte ISD Partners in Education webpage at www.lpisd.org/our-district/partners-in-education.
