In theatre-land the autumn season is always a bit like the start of a new year. After the seemingly endless summer break there’s a real “back to school” vibe; a fresh start, filled with new experiences, a chance to learn new things and make new friends.

Family Friendly

This autumn we are taking some of what we learned during our 10th Anniversary and expanding how we work in the city.

From regular partnerships with creative organisations like Frequency Festival through to more direct connections with local communities, we are looking at how we can be more than just a place that presents great performance. Through Lincoln Fun Palace we are helping to create a day of free science and art experiences across the whole city, whilst PopOut 2019 will see us once again turn the city into a stage, inviting audiences to stumble across performance in the every day.

Highly Sprung presents Roots, a bold and beautiful new piece of physical theatre that explores issues of identity and belonging.

Set entirely in a six metre tree-like structure designed by Entify, Roots is a highly energetic and interactive piece. In their distinctive style, Highly Sprung performers move effortlessly in and around the tree structure using bungee aerial movement and dance. A unique opportunity to experience this 10-minute immersive performance for two people at a time. Solo tells the story of a celebrated composer writing a piece of music for a virtuoso violinist.

You play the role of the violinist and the composer as you follow the story using headphones and are guided around St Mary le Wigford by Michael Pinchbeck and Ollie Smith.

London Classic Theatre NO MAN’S LAND

By Harold Pinter Thursday 10 October 7.30pm A chance meeting between two elderly writers in a North London pub leads to an alcohol-fuelled night of reminiscences and verbal sparring.

Hirst, a wealthy recluse, invites Spooner, a downat-heel poet, to his Hampstead townhouse for a nightcap. As the shadows lengthen and the whisky flows, their stories become more elaborate and improbable, until the arrival of two younger men forces events to take an unexpected turn.

In his most beguiling and atmospheric play, Pinter interweaves truth, language and memory to create a world of dark comedy and subtle power games.

TRANSACTION CHARGES

There are no booking charges when booking directly with us. A postage handling fee of £1 applies if you would like to receive your tickets through the post (allow 10 working days). Alternatively, purchased tickets can be held at the Box Office free of charge for collection during opening hours.

BABES IN ARMS

For certain shows, children under 18 months may qualify for a complimentary Babes in Arms ticket if they share an adult seat – these must be booked in advance.

SCHOOLS/GROUP BOOKINGS

Schools rates and group discounts are available for most performances. For all school groups and general group bookings of 10 or more please email bookings@lpac.co.uk or contact the Box Office on 01522 837600. We regret that tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged. Please ensure all tickets purchased are correct at the time of booking. If an event is sold out we may be able to re-sell your tickets, please contact the Box Office.
