classes in the evening. Work experience is preferred, but not required, to support your application.

There are three key elements to our program: business ethics, leadership, and supply chain management, all taught with a global perspective. The average class size is 18 students, ensuring an interesting, interactive classroom experience.

Ours is an exceptionally exible program. If you already have an undergraduate business degree, you may be able to finish in one calendar year. If you have heavy outside obligations, you may want to take only three or four courses a year. You decide how quickly you want to complete the program.

Classes begin each fall and spring, and are taught in the evening and occasionally on Saturdays. Our flexible schedule allows you to continue working full time, or to pursue an internship in your area of interest.

International education At Loyola, our classrooms have no boundaries use your electives to study abroad. We encourage you to explore diverse cultures through one of our study abroad opportunities.

China

Have you ever wanted to walk on the Great Wall? If so, you should explore China with your fellow MBAs through our China Study Abroad program. This three-week summer program allows you to complete six elective credit hours. During this time, you’ll get the opportunity to experience China ďŹ rsthand by visiting local companies and cultural centers.

Europe Experience Europe with trips to Budapest, Prague, and Vienna. With our European Study Abroad program, you can complete two electives while traveling with your fellow classmates through Europe. In addition to earning six elective credit hours, you will have the opportunity to visit local businesses and cultural centers.

Latin America

Have you ever wanted to learn how to tango? You will learn that and much more during our Latin America two-week study abroad program over the winter break, which allows you to complete three elective credit hours.

Community Service As part of the Loyola MBA program, all MBA students must complete 30 hours of community service for a nonprofit organization prior to graduation. This component adds a unique element of ethical value to your education, which is extremely important to employers in a post-Enron environment. By participating in community service events, you are better prepared to become a socially responsible business and community leader.

Many MBA students work together to complete their 30 hours of community service. Therefore, you have an opportunity to act as a leader in coordinating community service events. It’s a great way to help the community and learn more about your fellow MBAs outside the classroom. Community service opportunities are abundant in New Orleans as the city continues to rebuild. This is your opportunity to make a difference and help a city rebuild.

Dual degree programs Juris Doctor/Master of Business Administration: Loyola’s JD/MBA dual degree program combines courses from the College of Business and the College of Law. If you decide to pursue the dual degree program, you will receive two degrees in less time than if taken separately. The business school uses nine hours of law school credits to fulfill your electives requirement, and the law school uses nine hours of business credits for electives, saving you 18 hours of time and tuition.

You must apply to each program separately. You may begin with either the MBA or the JD; however, we recommend you begin with the program that is more important to your long-term goals. You will not receive either degree until requirements for both degrees are complete. Master of Business Administration/ Master of Pastoral Studies: The MBA/MPS dual degree program develops you in head, heart, intellect, and feelings—so that you can think critically and act justly in the matters of faith and business. It combines courses from both the College of Business and Loyola’s Institute for Ministry to allow you to complete both degrees in a shorter time.
