The Puppeteer Prepares Arts in Your Neighbourhood under National Arts Council February to March 2021
a puppetry showcase for The Finger Players at the Pasir Ris Public Library // visual identity, spatial conception environmental graphics

The exhibition was intended to invoke curious minds into the fascinating world of puppetry: one of the oldest forms of human storytelling. Through Pasir Ris Library’s existing spatial elements, the public entered and explored a parallel dimension of the puppets’ narratives.
Shelves, reading corners, and walls were transformed into the puppets’ enclaves: featuring Traditional Chinese Hand Puppets at the Bukit Timah Mountain, Rod Puppets at the Kopitiam String Puppets etc. thereby guiding the public to discover their dialogues through augmented reality.

MAD in Singapore Nanyang Polytechnic, Diploma in Architecture X Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) May to June 2017
a 3-day social design workshop NYP run with teritary institutions
// visual identity, publicity, project facilitation

NYP Diploma in Architecture planned and ran a 3-day national level Social Innovation and Design Summit and activated over 110 higher learning institution students for a 3-day.
The event was a platform for students to involve with over 15 urban/design/civic advocates and experts to collaborate, network and cultivate ground-up initiatives. The event/initiative’s key message was that Social Innovation and Design can be initiated and actioned by students, creating an active and positive impact on people and our public spaces.

c o o p is a system of architecture kit-of-parts, intended to empower individuals to work with communities and build to their own spatial needs and interventions. Developed and led by Lim Wei Ling (crew no. 6), c o o p is designed to be reconfigurable and reusable with the ability to adapt to different social, cultural and environmental contexts coupled with unique modes of operations. c o o p is similar to the idea of modular building toys, an ‘enlarged’, life-sized fun: to immerse in the archi-torture process of designing and building in gaining ownership with a great sense of achievement, fun and joy in making their own unique spaces.
In facilitating a circular learning ecosystem and beyond, through NYP do agency, students are encouraged to grow with c o o p through apprenticeship: c o o p becomes a platform to kickstart alumni’s design business, for senior students to gain practice and lead the juniors.
c o o p creates not only a result of a new space but also a culture of shared learning. To date, there are 14 versions built/re-assembled.

This is What We Eat at Home is a participatory photography project featuring 12 children and youth from very diverse households in Boon Lay.
Through capturing meal preparations and candid sharing of their life experiences, these young persons and their family members shed light on a diversity of caregiving models, heritage and value systems that exist in a socially complex community.
c o o p were configured and arranged as a little kampung: Boon Lay to exhibit Tak Takut Kids’ photography works.
