How did we get here? Meet Jess and Rod. Lovevery started thanks to inspiration from our own children, a flashing purple plastic cow toy, and two books titled “A Program of Ideas Based on Current Research Findings on the Neurological Development of Infants” and “Brain Under Construction: Experiences That Promote the Intellectual Capabilities of Young Toddlers” by Dr. William Staso. Wait, what? We know, so nerdy. The human brain has about 100 billion nerve cells, all of which are present at birth but have few links between them. Meaningful developmental experiences don’t always happen on their own; we have to help make them happen. So, in 2016, Jessica Rolph (after founding successful organic baby food brand Happy Baby) and Rod Morris (successful builder of companies and movements with environmental and social impact) teamed up to give families confidence that they’re giving their child the best possible start. Children can play to learn—and have meaningful developmental experiences—with the right playthings and activities at the right time. Lovevery delivers playtime with purpose with the help of experts, educators, researchers, and feedback from families just like yours. With the help of our Amsterdam-based European team (with team members from Germany, the UK, Austria, The Netherlands, Portugal, and others), we can’t wait to introduce you to our Play Kits, too. - Roderick Morris and Jessica Rolph Cofounders *If you want to check out the books that helped inspire Lovevery, Jess would love to share them with you (really).
