ABOUT THE ARTIST //

Artist and Designer Michelle Pang launched Misheo in 2016, with an aim to merge art and fashion by creating functional wearable pieces from her original illustrations. The brand celebrates uniqueness and biodiversity by featuring her illustrations of rare wildlife, local flora and fauna, and at-risk species. Michelle’s hand-illustrated designs are professionally digitally printed in limited quantities onto high quality natural fabrics and papers.

Drawings are made completely from scratch using traditional media such as pencil and ink. A drawing is considered completed after the designer is satisfied with every detail, but the process is not finished. If not completed with watercolor, the designer then moves on to the coloring phase, converting the art to digital, and experimenting with different colors until a harmonious combination is created. The whole process can take up to a month for each design.

Picture the gentle grace of the Grey Whale dancing among ocean waves, while Western Tiger Swallowtail butterflies flutter gracefully overhead, painting the sky with their vibrant hues. Audubon Warblers soar across the canvas of sunset clouds. Meanwhile, let your imagination take flight with a fantasy portrayal of butterflies flying in the vast expanse of space. Lastly, the Douglas Squirrel rests in a tapestry of edible shrooms, like a scene in a woodland fairy tale.
