Eureka Springs’ tourism totals for the year 2013 are in, and the numbers show a lackluster year highlighted by a continuing drop in lodging – the cornerstone of any tourism industry – that began over a decade ago, the Lovely County Citizen has found. Last year, Eureka Springs collected $1.2 million in tourism taxes, which was 0.6 percent more than the prior year.
