Chairman’s Message

As we conclude another year of our organization’s work, I want to express my gratitude and appreciation for your continued support, involvement, and investment in the Little Rock Regional Chamber. The Chamber embraces the challenge of providing personal service and direct value for all members, while at the same time providing community leadership and vision. Our goal is to be an inclusive, thriving, and vibrant region that is meaningful to each business and resident.

Some of the highlights of our achievements in 2024 include:

• Closed 7 economic development projects, resulting in over 1,000 new jobs, $56 million in new payroll, nearly $250 million in capital investments across the region.

• Secured $2 million in site development funds for the Little Rock Port Megasite, positioning it as one of the most competitive industrial sites in the region for future large-scale developments.

• Attracted two major companies to Little Rock, including the nation’s largest freight brokerage company and an international manufacturer that selected Little Rock for its first U.S. production facility.

• Chamber Ambassadors actively engaged in over 120 ribbon cuttings and open houses throughout the year, helping to celebrate the growth and success of local businesses while building strong community connections.

• Hosted signature events such as Pickin’ at the Port, RazorRock Tailgate, and Serve the Rock, bringing together thousands of professionals to foster collaboration and strengthen ties within our business community.

These are just some examples of how your Chamber has been working hard to serve you and represent your voice. We could not have done it without your engagement, feedback, and collaboration. Your membership is not only an investment in your own success, but also in the success of our community and region. Together, we can make a difference and create a brighter future.

Your membership is not only an investment in your own success, but also in the success of our community and region. Together, we can make a difference and create a brighter future.

Referrals are often the most valuable sales leads, and a leads group can be a powerful tool for generating them. The Chamber’s Summit Leads Group and Rockstars Leads Group bring together professionals from non-competing business categories to network, build relationships, and exchange referrals. By participating, you can expand your reach, strengthen connections, and gain high-quality business leads through trusted relationships.

Leadership Greater Little Rock

From Insight to Impact: Building Leaders Together

THE CHALLENGE

Since 1985, Leadership Greater Little Rock has developed skilled leaders to guide Central Arkansas forward. The program provides in-depth training on key issues like government, business, education, and health care, combining lectures, tours, and discussions to give participants a comprehensive understanding of the community and its future potential.

Through my experience with Leadership Greater Little Rock (LGLR), I’ve discovered a dynamic community that embraces diversity and inclusivity, welcoming individuals from all walks of life. LGLR has provided me with a platform to build lasting friendships and cultivate meaningful connections across various backgrounds and industries.

Brian Marsh - LRRC Advisory Board

Immediate Past Chair: (Class XXXI)

Leadership Greater Little Rock is aimed at developing a network of competent leaders for present and future community needs. To meet this goal, LGLR seeks to:

n Identify and motivate individuals with leadership potential

n Acquaint them with community needs, challenges and opportunities

n Offer a forum of exchange on methods for dealing with community issues

n Challenge potential leaders to become involved with local issues and the decisionmaking process

The greatest responsibility as a human we have, is to treat other people simply like we would wish to be treated. “ ”

2024 Annual Meeting

The Little Rock Regional Chamber held its 159th Annual Meeting, presented by Saracen Casino Resort, on Thursday, December 12th. This year’s sold-out luncheon featured former Governor of Arkansas Mike Huckabee. Huckabee was nominated to become US Ambassador to Israel by President Donald J. Trump. He is the host of the TV show “Huckabee” on TBN each weekend and is a Fox News contributor, NY Times best-selling author of 14 books, and a frequent speaker for corporate, civic, and non-profit groups all over the world.

He was the 44th Governor of Arkansas from 1996 until 2007, becoming one of the longest serving Governors in his state’s history. He left a legacy of tax cuts, job creation, the reconstruction of his state’s road system, K-16 education reform, and a nationally heralded and duplicated health initiative that focused on prevention.

In the 159-year history of the Little Rock Regional Chamber Annual Meetings, this marks the first time to have two Ambassadors in attendance. In addition to Huckabee being appointed Ambassador to Israel, President Trump appointed Warren A. Stephens, CEO, President, and Chairman of Stephens Inc., as Ambassador to Great Britain.

2024 HIGHLIGHTS

The 2024 Highlights video captured a year of exceptional achievements in economic development and community impact. The Little Rock Regional Chamber celebrated seven completed projects, resulting in over 1,000 jobs and $250 million in capital investment across the Central Arkansas region. The Little Rock MSA also achieved a historic milestone with record-breaking employment levels.

The Chamber hosted over 120 ribbon cuttings, grand openings, and open houses, along with 60+ events designed to connect members, business owners, and key stakeholders. Additionally, Leadership Greater Little Rock set new records with an unprecedented number of applications for Class XL, culminating in the program’s largest class ever with 56 members.

CULTIVATING FUTURE BUSINESS LEADERS

The Academies of Central Arkansas also continued to help grow the talent pipeline in all the public high schools in Pulaski County. Nathan Zukowski, an 11th grader from North Little Rock High School, spoke on the impact the Academies of Central Arkansas has had allowing him to build skills, confidence, and a vision for his future.

Colea Long and Ryan Stephens, representing Create Little Rock, shared exciting news about the upcoming Young Professionals (YP) Summit in 2025. This event will bring together individuals early in their careers for an incredible opportunity to connect, grow, and learn through professional development, networking, and inspiring sessions.

REGION ON THE RISE

The Chamber unveiled the Region on the Rise video, celebrating incredible milestones across our thriving region. From economic wins and achievements in Little Rock, Maumelle, Jacksonville, North Little Rock, Benton, Hot Springs, Pine Bluff, and more, progress in 2024 proves the power of collaboration and innovation.

Thank you to the Mills University Studies High JROTC Color Guard Team, for presenting the Color Guard and Jacksonville High School Choir for performing the National Anthem.
Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders attended the 159th Annual Meeting and introduced her father as the keynote speaker.
The 2024 Ambassador of the Year Diane McCoy and 2024 Ambassador Chairman Andre Webster presented Karl Freeman with the Ambassador 25 Years of Service Award.
