THE KAIA PEARL Welcome to KAIA - we specialise in jewellery using wild New Zealand Pacific Pearls. The KAIA pearl is unique to New Zealand and arguably one of the rarest pearls in the world. Grown inside a native Abalone shell each pearl is a little drop of pure magic, perfectly crafted by nature. According to native New Zealand Māori the Abalone and its pearls bring peace, prosperity and good luck to the wearer. Many cultures also see it as a symbol of water letting the stresses of the day wash over you and allowing you to find calmness and tranquility in the flow of life. At KAIA we believe nature does its best - as such we allow the natural beauty of the pearl to shine with no synthetic colours or enhancers - from deep peacock blues to soft greys and emerald greens our KAIA pearl’s colours are 100% natural.

NEW ZEALAND GROWN
OUR DESIGNER I have been designing jewellery since I was a young girl and have always had a love for pearls. From growing up hearing about my Grandmothers beloved pearl necklace to swimming the cool waters of the South Island where our pearls grow - a future in pearls seemed inevitable. I am proud to come from such a beautiful and diverse corner of the world and my designs capture the essence of all that is New Zealand – utterly breathtaking, and unique. My vision is to create simple designs that do not overshadow the innate beauty and timeless character of the KAIA pearl. I hope that you enjoy your KAIA jewellery as much as I have enjoyed creating it for you.
