We hope that your family has enjoyed a wonderful summer. The official countdown to the start of Lovejoy ISD’s best school year yet has begun! I love the excitement and hope that the anticipation of a new school year brings. Lovejoy ISD teachers and staff are busy preparing to provide each of our students with an exceptionallearningexperience.

Our 2023 Leopard Football Season is upon us, and once again our community has the opportunity to watch our students participate in Friday Night Lights! These events are so much larger than the football game and are important to theexperiencestudentshaveatLovejoyHighSchool.Weallseetheimpressive performances of our students in Majestics, band, color guard, and cheer. However,youmaynotnoticestudentswhoarerunningthevideoboard,serving as athletic trainers to keep our athletes safe, and taking pictures for the yearbook.
Our football schedule is somewhat unique this year in that we only have four homegamesinsteadoftheusualfive.Thisoccurredbecausewemovedourfirst home game to Allen Eagle Stadium in order for our students to be able to competeintheTomLandryClassicagainstCollegeStationHighSchool.
To ensure we continue the traditions we have become accustomed to in Lovejoy,wehavemovedsomeofoureventstodifferentpartsoftheseasonso ourstudentsandcommunitydon’tmissoutonanyexperiences.
