Last night, Lovejoy High School held its annual National Honor Society Induction. Lovejoy ISD’s proud legacy of excellence was evident in the recognition of over 250 inductees for exemplifying the pillars of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. We are remarkably proud of our students and this significant accomplishment. This recognition is the culmination of choices, actions, and sacrifices. Our National Honor Society students model the way for their peers and make a significant impact on our culture.
I am looking forward to family time this weekend. My parents are arriving for a visit and will be surprising Claire and Jacob this evening. They live out of state so time with them is precious. One of my favorite things about being a parent is witnessing the special relationship between my children and my parents. What is not nearly as special is how hilarious my parents think it is to break the rules and permit icecream for breakfast “because it is made of milk”.
Tomorrow, April 7, is a school holiday, but we do have school on Monday, April 10th to make up for missing school due to inclement weather. We look forward to seeing our students on Monday and to finishing the school year strong.
There is only ONE LOVEJO and we are ALL LEOPARDS

The Lovejoy Children's Choir participated in a fast-paced, engaging Clinic and Concert this past weekend. 70 children came together from Hart, Puster, and Sloan Creek to sing and perform a variety of music from around the world. They captured the hearts of their families and teachers as they presented hope, joy, and beauty on the high school auditorium stage. This group is led by Lovejoy music teachers Brooke Grall, Katrina Arabie, and Veronica Orozco.
The Lovejoy Children’s Choir was formed in 2010 and provides 4th, 5th and 6th graders in Lovejoy ISD an opportunity to explore challenging choral literature with students who are committed to an exceptional musical experience. LCC allows 6th grade students to continue singing while also pursuing band, orchestra, or visual arts. We are fortunate to have support from Lovejoy ISD - our LCC parents, Lovejoy administrators, and our secondary choral directors, Kelly Martin and Patrick Hayes.
