AN ANCIENT GREEK RECIPE

In Homer’s Odyssey, Cyclops Polyphemus is known to be the first person to prepare feta cheese. Polyphemus allowed his sheep to freely graze and he spent his days tending to his animals and to his land. One day, he was carrying milk that he gathered from his sheep that was wrapped in lambskin. When he opened the milk to inspect it, the milk had curdled and thus, feta cheese was born.

A century ago, three brothers from the island of Evia, Greece had a dream of building a better future for themselves and their families. They realized that dream after developing and introducing their brand of Greek coffee Loumidis Papagalos, now synonymous to Greek coffee internationally and the Loumidis name is a guarantee of trusted quality.

The latest generation of the Loumidis family is aimed to redefine the concept of ‘premium products’ with innovative ideas that preserve the traditional preparations of our foods, but with modern sustainability for today’s marketplace.
