However, in the information age - with the rapid growth of the internet and technology - the book has come under threat as the primary means of disseminating knowledge. So what does this mean for the library, which is fundamentally a collection of books? The term ‘Collection to Connection’ represents the evolving role of the modern public library and addresses its new responsibility in providing a platform for community life and social interaction as well as just a service-station space to collect and read books.
