Foyle Area and Carlingford Area (Close Seasons for Angling) Regulations 2001 Made 6th April 2001 Coming into operation 14th May 2001 The Foyle, Carlingford and Irish Lights Commission, in exercise of its powers under section 13(1) (amended by section 34(3) of the British-Irish Agreement Act 1999) and section 28(2) and (4) of the Foyle Fisheries Act 1952 which stand transferred to it under section 34(1) of the British-Irish Agreement Act 1999, and in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 13(1) and 27(2) and (4) of the Foyle Fisheries Act (Northern Ireland) 1952 and now vested in it and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, with the approval of the North/South Ministerial Council, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Foyle Area and Carlingford Area (Close Seasons for Angling) Regulations 2001 and shall come into operation on 14th May 2001. Close Seasons for angling 2. The annual close seasons for angling for salmon and trout in the waters of the Foyle Area and the Carlingford Area are prescribed in the Schedule to these Regulations. Revocation 3. The Foyle Area (Close Seasons for Angling) Regulations 1987 are hereby revoked.
