It has been an extraordinary journey, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve in this capacity.
When I assumed this position, I could not have fully anticipated the challenges we would undertake and the accomplishments we would achieve. In my role as Chair, I was committed to upholding and advancing the values that make our Chamber a beacon of excellence. We accomplished so much, but I want to highlight some of the goals accomplished that were included in my 2025 Annual Meeting Address.
1) Membership Engagement: We celebrated 70 grand openings and ribbon cuttings in 2024 and welcomed nearly 250 new members. Our networking events (Business @ Breakfast and Loudoun On Tap drew a record 2,500 attendees, while our LeadShare program facilitated 2,880 leads, resulting in 2,075 business connections. Over 1,000 leaders attended our PolicyMaker Series events which addressed key issues such as energy, housing, data centers, and workforce development. Lastly, a record was set with nearly 600 attendees joining us for the 30th Annual Loudoun Small Business Awards.
2) Policy/Advocacy: We advocated on behalf of businesses to address critical issues like housing affordability, data center regulations, and Loudoun’s rural economy. Together, we mitigated fee hikes on new homes and worked to lower the cost of attainable housing construction.
3) Innovation: We developed a 3-year strategic plan that includes innovative ideas to enhance and expand our services and support to increase member value and workforce development.
4) Inclusivity: We held our 3rd Annual DEIA Summit (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility), awarded our first DEIA Community Leadership Award at the Annual Meeting, formed a strategic partnership with the Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce, and diversified our board by adding a record number of women and diverse businesses to reflect the different industries in our business community.
None of these accomplishments would have been possible without the support of the Chamber staff, led by Tony Howard, the Board of Directors, members, and corporate and community partners.
Let’s continue to work together to maintain our U.S. Chamber of Commerce 5-Star Accreditation, which puts the Loudoun Chamber in the top 2% of chambers of commerce across the United States! Here’s to the bright future that lies ahead for all of us.

THE LOUDOUN CHAMBER IS COMMITTED to being the Voice of Business for our community. The Chamber’s Public Policy Committee focused on three main areas affecting our business community in 2024.
From mitigating the impact of the County’s plans to raise fees on new homes to offset the demand on public services, to successfully supporting fast-track approvals for 100% affordable housing projects, the Loudoun Chamber worked hard to ensure housing was more affordable for our workforce. This proactive approach helped prevent the housing crisis from worsening, ensuring that new home construction stayed accessible and affordable for residents.
Efforts were also directed towards establishing reasonable new rules to protect the investments made by the data center industry in Loudoun. These rules were designed to balance the interests of the industry with the well-being of residents, ensuring that the growth of data centers did not adversely affect the community. This balanced approach helped maintain Loudoun’s attractiveness as a hub for data centers while addressing residents’ concerns.
Furthermore, there was a concerted effort to ensure that rural businesses in Loudoun had a voice in the decision-making process as the County considered new regulations. This advocacy ensured that the unique needs and perspectives of rural businesses were taken into account. The 2024 PolicyMaker Series events, which attracted over 1,000 business and community leaders, provided a platform to discuss critical issues such as energy, housing, data centers, and workforce development, fostering a collaborative environment for addressing the county’s challenges.

Mitigated the impacts of the Board of Supervisors plan to hike the fees imposed on new home construction, a move that would have worsened Loudoun’s housing affordability crisis.
ONE OF LOUDOUN CHAMBER’S top priorities is fostering a strong and healthy Loudoun community. There are many ways we are working to ensure Loudoun’s quality of life remains world class.
One includes the Loudoun Chamber Foundation, a highly regarded source of philanthropic support for Loudoun-based nonprofit organizations that are supporting our community’s most vulnerable citizens.
Since 2015, the Loudoun Chamber Foundation has received more than 420 applications for financial assistance; and has issued 92 grants totaling $332,000 to nonprofits servicing Loudoun County’s residents and workers, while building a permanent endowment of $175,000 that will continue to grow and benefit Loudoun County for many generations to come.
