A busy year for Bill Hope
2024 has been a busy year for Katoomba Illustrator Bill Hope.
In March, Bill unveiled his first public exhibition titled ‘Living Room’ at the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre.
June marked the opening of a new Amphibian and Reptile Centre at Taronga Zoo, decorated with his illustrations.
The pace really picked up in August, with the launch of a new series of children’s books that Bill illustrated for Australia’s premier children’s author Andy Griffiths.
In October, Bill was selected as a finalist in the prestigious Kedumba Drawing Prize.
And in November 2024, Bill caps it off with an exhibition of watercolours at Lost Bear Gallery.
Going Somewhere
‘Going Somewhere’ is a collection of whimsical, intimate pieces where an assortment of anthropomorphic characters each embark on their own journey to parts unknown. Each artwork is an open narrative inspired by Bill’s love for storytelling and imaginative escapism.
