More Than an Assessment: A Day of Discovery
What if an assessment day felt less like a test and more like an adventure? That’s the spirit behind our unique Assessment Experience, which will take place
from Tuesday 13th to Thursday 15th January 2026
Inspired by the pioneering values of our founder, Baron Sydney Stern, we warmly invite registered candidates to a dynamic day of discovery, teamwork, and codebreaking challenges. The ultimate goal?
To solve the code and unlock Sydney’s Treasure Chest.
This exciting day is our opportunity to look beyond application forms and truly get to know the character, curiosity, and potential within every child. It’s a chance for them to show us who they are, not just what they know.
Your Adventure Unfolds
The day begins with a welcome from our Headmaster, Adam Williams, who will introduce the quest ahead. From there, candidates will dive into an exciting rotation of challenges designed to spark imagination and encourage collaboration. They will tackle a STEM code-breaking endeavour, unleash their creativity in an art session, rise to a musical challenge, and embark on a physical quest.
Alongside the group activities, each candidate will have a friendly, one-to-one

interview where they can share a special object that reveals something about their own passions and qualities. Mr. Williams will also guide a group discussion, exploring the very values that shape our community: courage, innovation, and collaboration.
The Spirit of the Day
Throughout this experience, we are looking for young people with curiosity, kindness, and a willingness to engage. The day is deliberately crafted to let a wide range of learners shine, helping us to identify the children who will truly flourish and contribute to our warm, forward-thinking community.
The adventure runs from 9am to 2.45pm, and naturally includes a break for everyone to socialise and enjoy our renowned LWC lunch together—a daily highlight at the College!. It all culminates in the exhilarating reveal of the treasure chest, celebrating the collaborative spirit and achievements of everyone involved. Following registration, families will be able to book their preferred Assessment Day online.
