2. A window of Computer management will appear on the screen. Choose Services and Applications to expand it from the left side panel. This will open two options, Services and WMI control.

3. Now, make a double selection on Services and find the McAfee Framework Service on the right side of the window from the menu of Services.

4. Make a right-click on the “McAfee Framework Service” and select “Start” button from the pop-up menu window.

5. If the problem is still the same, then follow the steps mentioned in another section.

Reinstall CMA 1. To start this process, go to the Start button on the left of the window and click Programs.

2. Now, locate McAfee to open this application. Wait for 2-3 seconds to load the application completely.

3. Click Virus Scan Console, and afterwards right-click on the “Access Protection” option.

4. Select Properties from the drop-down list of options and click on “Command Standard Protection.”

5. Next, deactivate the “Prevent modification of McAfee files and settings” option by selecting this option and go to OK button to confirm the deactivation.

6. Open Windows Explorer and remove this file “FrameworkManifest.xml” file, situated in following record:  For Windows Vista: [Primary Drive]:\ Program Data\ MacAfee\ Common Framework  For Windows XP: [Primary Drive]: \ Documents and Settings\All Users\ Application\Data McAfee\ Common Framework or  [Primary Drive]: \Documents and Settings\All Users\ Application Data\ Network Associates\ Common Framework 7. Now, restart the computer and reinstall Common Management Agent or ePO agent, because it is relevant to your McAfee application.
