The arrival of the Joan Perry Brock Center (JPB) brings with it a new era for Longwood Athletics. The addition of this transformational facility will provide our basketball programs with the opportunity to train and compete in an environment that is reflective of our teams' commitment to excellence. It will provide our staff with the ability to better recruit and retain top student-athletes and assemble a team that can bring future championship titles to the halls of the Joan Perry Brock Center. Furthermore, it will increase our department’s ability to amplify the great story of Longwood through competition and fan engagement.

JPB will also serve as the launching point for one of the Athletic Department’s priorities: the growth of the Student-Athlete Excellence Fund. As you will see in the pages that follow, exclusive game day experiences in the Joan Perry Brock Center will be made available to supporters of the Student-Athlete Excellence Fund.

However, the gifts of the Joan Perry Brock Center reach far beyond just the athletics department. Lancer supporters provide the energy that fuels our department’s mission and are an integral part of our success. This state-of-the-art facility is meant to be a gathering place where the game day experience of our alumni, community members, students, faculty and staff can grow and prosper, and the Lancer spirit can be invigorated.

Whether you are a returning season ticket holder or a brand new Lancer fan, we want you to be a part of the basketball community that is cheering our Lancers on to victory. There are two options for becoming a 2023-2024 season ticket holder and claiming your seat.

Here it is: season tickets in the bowl will cost $100 each. That's it. No surprises, no gimmicks. Your $100 season ticket guarantees you a reserved, padded chair for all men's and women's home basketball games, both non-conference and conference play alike (that is upwards of 30 home basketball games each season).

The Student-Athlete Excellence Fund is the difference-maker for the success of Longwood Athletics by supporting student-athletes, coaches and staff, as well as our long-term vision. We believe deeply in the power of sports, and private support strengthens that resounding belief. Unrestricted dollars are the key to moving beyond operational needs, building a program that will be the first choice for top student-athletes, and continuing to elevate Longwood. Gifts to the Student-Athlete Excellence Fund directly support that endeavor, and they make a tangible difference in achieving the University's mission.

The Joan Perry Brock Center is a one-of-a-kind college basketball venue. There was no cookie-cutter approach to its design or construction. We also know that there is no cookie-cutter approach to how Lancer fans might want to experience a game day at JPB. For those season ticket holders who wish to customize and enhance their game day experience, there will be opportunities to do that through contributions to the Student-Athlete Excellence Fund. The experience upgrades below are available to a limited number of fans, so get yours while supplies last!

JUST THE RIGHT (PARKING) SPOT!

Parking at any sporting event is one of the first questions that comes to mind when you are planning your trip. While there are several public parking areas that can be utilized on game day, some fans may choose to take the stress of parking out of the equation. Premium parking will be available in the Brock Commons Garage, offering the most convenient access to JPB. Premium parking holders will have access from Redford Street into the garage with a guaranteed space, an elevator up to Brock Commons, and easy entry directly into JPB.

WELCOME TO CLUB 64!

Basketball games are social gatherings, opportunities to build community and bring Lancers from near and far together for a common goal. Some fans may arrive laser-focused on the action on the court, but we also have many fans who will want to reconnect with classmates, celebrate our teams, and be a part of the Lancer basketball community. With that in mind, we are introducing Club 64, a premium game day hospitality experience within JPB. This will be an exclusive location to enjoy pregame fellowship with Lancer fans, complimentary food, a cash bar serving craft beers, wines and select spirits, and scouting reports from Longwood coaches on that night's opponent. Club 64 will be open for most home games, with a full schedule provided at the start of the season.

BEST SEAT IN THE HOUSE!

With nearly 1,200 fully-cushioned, reserved seats in the lower bowl, each one with a terrific sight line to the court, what more could you ask for? Well, what about being as close to the action as possible? We know some fans want to experience Division I basketball games where they can be right in the mix, reveling in the suspense of whether or not a basketball player will come crashing into their seats to save a loose ball. If this sounds like you, then JPB's courtside premium seats are your ticket to the action!

FINDING THE PERFECT SEAT!

Below is an outline of the process you and your fellow season ticket holders will take part in to find the perfect seat!

CURRENT SEASON TICKET HOLDERS

Beginning April 1, 2023, current 2022-2023 Longwood

Basketball Season Ticket Holders will have an exclusive window to purchase their season tickets in JPB and select a time window to choose their seats at the August 26th Seat Selection Day.

NEW SEASON TICKET HOLDERS

On April 16, 2023, those interested in becoming season ticket holders will purchase their tickets and select a time window to choose their seats at the August 26th Seat Selection Day.

SEAT SELECTION

On August 26, 2023, time windows will begin for seat selection in JPB. At the ticket holder's chosen time, they will be able to enter the arena and select the location of their reserved seats up to the number of tickets purchased. If you have purchased tickets but are not able to attend in person at your chosen time slot, you will be able to provide seating preferences for a staff member to select your seats on your behalf.

At the conclusion of the Seat Selection Day, those who have not yet purchased tickets for JPB will have the opportunity to buy season tickets and select their seats online.

Come August, our community will bear witness to the impact of philanthropy any time they step through the doors of the Joan Perry Brock Center. In the spirit of this unprecedented generosity, we invite our community to be a part of the new facility's impact with a gift of at least $2,000 to the Student-Athlete Excellence Fund or by purchasing a "JPB Inaugural Season Ticket Package."

A NOTE ABOUT TAX DEDUCTIBILITY

Gifts to the Student-Athlete Excellence Fund for the purpose of receiving premium game day experiences will not be tax deductible. Gifts to the StudentAthlete Excellence Fund for which no premium game day benefits are received, including the minimum gift ($2,000) to be recognized on the Building Champions Wall, are tax deductible. For questions about your gift's tax deductibility, please contact your tax advisor or a member of Longwood's Office of Institutional Advancement.
