Christmas Program Christmas Already?

Not yet, but rehearsals for the 2014 LIV Christmas program begin Tuesday, November 11th at 3:30 pm in the Rec. Hall and continue every Tuesday and Thursday (excluding Thanksgiving day) until the program. All singers are welcome regardless of experience. The music is traditional Christmas music. Solos or small groups are welcome as well. The program itself is on December 7th at 4:00 pm in the Rec. Hall If you have questions call John Moore @ 715-271-7381. See you then!

3 D&E It’s officially time to think CHRISTMAS, so let’s get started with our annual Golf Cart Parade and Chili Dump, Monday, December 1st. This year there will be some big changes. Because of the parking lot situation, we’ve decided to do sign-in, line up, and judging at the Welcome Center. The parade will travel throughout the village as always, and will end up at the Rec Hall where we can enjoy chili and all the fixin’s while being entertained by Leslie. Since this is not a cocktail party and Leslie is donating her time, there will be no charge. There will also not be a sign up for tables. Also please note the change in times: 5:00 pm Participants sign in at the Welcome Center (Please be on time) 5:15 pm Judging will begin 5:45 pm Parade will leave the Welcome Center Sign up sheets for the Parade and Chili Dump are in the Activity Center. We encourage you to bring both chili and a side since we are expecting a LOT of people this year. You don’t make chili? Bring a can or two and we’ll “dump” it in! Your food can be dropped off at the Rec Hall anytime after 4:30 pm. Definitely bring your chili early so we can get it hot. I’m sure you will all agree that if you plan to participate in the “eating”, you also should participate in the “bringing”. It’s only fair, right? Next is the Cocktail Party with Leslie, Monday, December 8th from 4 - 6 pm. Don’t forget to bring your own snacks and beverages. Water and ice will be provided. Oh, and please don’t forget to pay your $5.00 at the door. And you might want to bring a little extra in case we sneak in a 50/50 - You could win the big bucks!

4 LIV RENTAL PROPERTY At the August 27, 2014 meeting, the Board voted to Eliminate 3rd Party Rentals. The Association needed to follow the direction given by our attorney which was: • LIVOA must enforce the 2005 Restated Declarations and all property owners at LIV must comply with the 2005 Restated Declarations. The March 2005 Restated Declarations specifically state in Article VII. that LIVOA “has the exclusive right … to rent lots, which are a part of the Condominium as established by Declaration.” Therefore, any property owner that uses a 3rd Party (instead of LIVOA) to rent their property at LIV is in violation of the 2005 Restated Declarations. LIVOA must put any property owner that violates the 2005 Restated Declarations on notice (pursuant to the 2011 Restated Rules and Regulations of LIVOA) of the violation. LIVOA must then follow the procedures set out in the 2011 Restated Rules and Regulations. Attorney, Rafael Garcia The Designation of Owner form will be eliminated immediately and 3rd party renters that are presently in place will be done effective January 1, 2015. Owner’s who rent out their property will then have to fill out the Guest of owner form as they have in the past and present it to the office in person, by mail or by e-mail. If the owner does not want to handle their own rental, they can put the property in the LIV Rental Pool at 956-943-6449 or 1-800-292-7261 Questions can also be addressed by calling the General Manager at 956-572-5671
