Robert Scott-Mitchell was an award-winning photographer/printmaker/musician/dog-lover, living in Australia.
‘Beach Dogs of Byron Bay’ is a posthumous exhibition based on a series of photographs documenting daily beach walks taken over 2 years. Rob's favourite shooting ground was Belongil Beach in Byron Bay where he photographed not only his own dogs but all the other dogs on the beach as well.
The works invite us to share in the vitality and joy inherent in each canine interaction captured during Rob’s effervescent engagement with them. His almost magical interaction with each animal was profound and is evidenced by this body of work.
'Beach Dogs of Byron Bay' is currently exhibiting at the Lone Goat Gallery from 15 Jan – 26 Feb 2022.
