Following the resounding success in its inaugural year, the London Saxophone Festival returns in May and June 2019,
with an awe-inspiring lineup of some of the world’s best saxophonists, performing at a wide range of venues
throughout the capital.
Highlights of this year’s festival include ‘Soul Women Unite’ - a collaborative concert with
top female artists featuring Terri Walker, YolanDa Brown, Ayanna Witter Johnson, Judi Jackson and Carleen
Anderson at Chelsea’s Cadogan Hall.
Other performances include the highly sought after and legendary Yellowjackets, American fusion kings
Kneebody, experimental mavericks Collocutor and Tomorrow’s Warriors graduate Denys Baptiste at Camden’s
Jazz Café, plus a masterfully curated series of exceptional saxophonists performing at the Pizza Express Jazz
venues, including Elan Trotman, Marici Saxes, Mike Aremu and Xhosa Cole.
