London Guildhall Faculty of Business & Law Our Faculty is located in the heart of London’s commercial district; home to some of the biggest global corporations and professional firms in the world. We are also close to the emerging industries in tech city and creative Shoreditch.

We offer your students a dynamic and relevant portfolio of up to date business, management and law courses that will equip them with the knowledge and skills to accelerate their employability. Our iconic Electra House building has just undergone a multi-million pound redevelopment to creat a high-tech learning environment.

How we can help you We offer a suite of guest lecturers and cutting edge seminars at your institution directly linked to your students’ studies. The sessions we offer have been developed through our strong links with industry and are research informed by subject specialists. We focus on developing a range of transferable skills that relate to real working experiences whilst helping students to develop a depth of subject knowledge.

We aim to build the knowledge bases required to develop critical thinking through interactive and challenging workshops. Our expert lecturers will equip students with the ability to research, reason, question, debate and reach their own conclusions across a range of subjects.

Sessions are student-focused and, as a result, more engaging. We design our courses in conjunction with leading employers to provide insight and understanding of contemporary international business, management and law related themes. The guest seminars we offer your students will provide them with an interactive and exciting learning environment.

Accounting, Banking & Finance ‘The Importance of Financial Planning’ gives students a breakdown of what finance really is and an interactive example of cash and credit transactions.

Law ‘No Oscars for this Trial?’ offers students a critical analysis of Oscar Pistorius’s trial in South Africa. What if Oscar Pistorius had been in the UK?

Marketing ‘Pepsi or Coke? Xbox or Playstation? What has this got to do with Marketing?’ will encourage students to question and delve into what marketing really is.

Management ‘What is Cross Cultural Management and Why is it Important in the 21st Century?’ students will get an introduction to multi-national business.

Fashion Retail Management ‘The Business behind the Catwalk’ introduces students to the broad concepts of managing all aspects of the fashion industry.

Music & Sports Management ‘Understanding the Power of the Five Rings as a Platform for Marketing’ seminar shows the importance of the Olympics from a corporate viewpoint.

Economics ‘Is Low Inflation a Good Thing? If so, How Low? students will gain an introduction into government policy and the dangers of deflation. or ‘Price Discrimination: Consumer Choice or Confused Consumers?’ have students tried to buy a train ticket recently?

Events, Leisure, and Tourism ‘How Fair is the Premier League?’ offers an analysis of capitalist football in the UK vs socialist football in the US.

Human Resource Management ‘How Does Diversity Influence Labour Supply?’, ‘Is Money a Motivator?’, and ‘How Managers get the Best of their Employees?’ are designed to embrace current trends and offer an insight into workplace practice.
