





INTRODUCTION
The Environmental Protection Agency of the U.S., which is under the authority of the Federal Clean Water Act (CWA) has prescribed a standard for general effluents being discharged by vessels. It is imperative to meet such standard, thus, control measures and best management practices must be established and complied with.
Compliance with the VGP is required for all vessels within the waters of the United States. This course can be beneficial to get familiar with the coverage of VGP, its structure, inspections, reporting, and record keeping procedures and VGP compliance in general.
