Sensory for children Sensory Space

Sensory night in

A place for all children to explore and play at Marsden Library. Learn through technology, touch, sight, sound and movement.

Join us for a night of child-led sensory fun in a welcoming and judgement-free space. Explore our sensory kits with your child, play games or discover robotics. For families living with autism or other sensory processing issues.

The space features play-based equipment including a bubble tube, touch screen, tablets and wall toys. Kits for families and groups to use with children are available including: social and emotions; tactile; fine coordination; auditory and visual.

Nyeumba-Meta Nyeumba-Meta is a space and collection at Logan Central Library that aims to foster respect for Australian Indigenous cultures. The space includes a yarning circle and artwork, and it has regular events throughout the year. Nyeumba-Meta was named to reflect the Yugambeh and Torres Strait languages.

Heritage Visit Mayes Cottage 20 Mawarra Street, Kingston Step back in time and visit historic Mayes Cottage, a reminder of Queensland's pioneering age. The cottage was built in 1887 and is virtually unchanged. Enjoy the calm and relaxing atmosphere with a picnic or share a yarn on the veranda with our friendly voluntary guides.
