panoramah! L’Officina by Vincenzo is the official partner of PanoramAH! minimal windows in Australia and New Zealand.

According to Le Corbusier, a good window is a window that doesn’t look like one.

The modern concept of the panoramic window - one of Le Corbusier’s proposed five points for a new architecture - seeks to maximise the spans and openings of rooms to light and landscape: the window is converted into a large “screen”. The PanoramAH! system is a culmination of this widely employed modern design concept, ensuring maximum transparency and excellent performance using the latest, most advanced technology. PanoramAH! is a state-of-the-art sliding aluminium casement system that explores the structural properties of glass, enabling the execution of large glazed areas with the use of vertical, minimal (slender) aluminium profiles, resulting in great elegance. Unlike traditional casement systems, glass is PanoramAH!’s self-supporting, main component, whilst the aluminium frame takes on the secondary functions of guiding its sliding motion, providing additional structural reinforcement and ensuring the window’s sealing capacity.

MAIN FEATURES: 1. A 20mm profile sight line between panes. 2. Optimal interior to exterior transparency and continuity, with pane sizes ranging up to 27m2. 3. 98% of the window surface being structural glass. 4. Flexibility and suitability to complex geometrical situations. 5. Creative optional infill materials such as stone, timber or aluminium cladding. 6. Configurations comprising opening corners, curved spanning and pocket sliding into a wall, ceiling or floor. 7. Embedded track system, avoiding physical or visual obstructions. 8. Motorisation, connection and compatibility with home automation and security systems. 13

15

SASH GUILLOTINE SYSTEM Opening system that operates through the counterbalancing of the panels, allowing for large glazed areas with thin horizontal aluminium frames and structurally binding polyamides.

16

SKYLIGHT EASY ACCESS TO ROOFS The skylight system is an innovative solution that enables the opening of inclined glass panels, allowing for easy access to roofs and large areas of natural ventilation.

ADVANTAGES: 1. Superior aesthetics, providing elegance and traditional ambiance for premium architectural solutions 2. Possibility of customising the look of the final window, including the finish 3. High corrosion resistance 4. Low maintenance costs 5. Environmentally sustainable

Bronze Doors & Windows Bronze is an alloy of copper with zinc or tin, at a ratio that varies depending on the period, region, or even the workshop where it is crafted. Alloys with more tin or zinc are a lot more fluid in liquid state, so it enables achieving the finest details when pouring into a mould. 37

Restoration L’Officina prides itself on being able to produce unique cutting edge profiles with the help of advanced technology. The replacement of windows and doors in restoration requires a delicate balance. On one hand, it must take into consideration the aesthetic aspect and respect for artistic heritage whilst on the other hand, it is necessary to abide by safety codes and comfort requirements. L’Offcina combines extremely minimal styles of old steel windows and doors (only 36mm for the openings) with the most advanced performances guaranteeing security, long service life and complying with environmental standards reviving the elegance and motif of the old “fine steel profile” for verandas, winter gardens, doors and bow windows. In restoration works, we guarantee excellence in terms of “industrial archaeology”.

ADVANCED EUROPEAN STEEL WINDOWS & DOORS Doors and windows have two important roles in architecture. First, they need to represent the design of the building. On the other hand, they have to separate the interior from the outside environment. Our high-quality steel windows from Europe are cold rolled and can be fitted with thermal break technology to make sure that the steel windows and door frames have optimal thermal performance and insulation. The steel window frames are cold rolled which allow us to create slim profiles, and the heat elimination from the rolling process cuts down the ability of the steel frame to warp over time. After the steel frame profiles are rolled, they are combined with their unique thermal break system. The thermal break is made of polyamide and polyurethane to increase the insulation performance. When combined with the insulated glass unit, the windows and doors are able to reach high-efficient levels of thermal performance.

46

Our advanced steel doors and windows can address the most challenging requirements, including restoration of old buildings. Another unique characteristic of our range of European windows and doors is that it can be manufactured from any of the following frame materials: galvanised steel, stainless steel, Corten steel and brass. This means we can create windows and doors into various exceptional and high-end designs, such as restoration projects for historical buildings or creating luxurious architectural designs.

GALVANISED STEEL The galvanised steel profiles we use for our advanced steel windows and doors are manufactured from the alloy FeP02 with a GZ200 hot zinc coating that ensures protection from oxidisation both internally and externally. The galvanised steel frames are then powder coated (oven-baked at 180° C) and supplied in a range of colours, available in gloss, semi-gloss and sandblasted versions. This material has elasticity modulus 3 times higher and thermal conductivity 4 times lower than aluminium alloys.

STAINLESS STEEL Stainless steel is most commonly composed of iron, chrome, nickel and molybdenum, which make the material extremely durable and resistant to corrosion. This material is known to have thermal conductivity 10 times lower than aluminium. Combined with the thermal break technology of our advanced steel windows and doors, it provides a high level of thermal insulation. The inherent characteristic of stainless also allows us to create extremely slim window frames, thus brightening the interiors more. 48

CORTEN STEEL Corten steel is resistant to corrosion 6 to 8 times more compared to traditional steel. It features a double resistance to tensile strength, allowing large window dimensions whilst having thin frames. This steel alloy contains copper, chrome and phosphorous, and has an antique appearance. Our advanced steel windows and doors use an oxidisation process of Corten to attain the desired finish and chromatic effect.

BRASS The colour and shininess of brass, together with its resistance to corrosion make this material perfect for both old and new architecture. Surfaces in glossy or burnished brass can be an expression of luxury and refinement. Our advanced steel windows and doors in brass use the alloy OT67 in which the high percentage of copper (67%) guarantees resistance to corrosion, whilst the zinc (33%) improves its hardness and tensile strength.

STEEL FURNITURE Our products reflect creativity, resourcefulness, a knowledge of trends and setting new ones. Our furniture pieces are hand-made from start to finish and have an edge over other ordinary furniture. We use different metals and finishings that are unique to the singular pieces and they are tailored to suit your need and style preference.

We work with your imagination and inspiration to bring your vision to life. Our steel furniture is modern, rustic and contemporary and can add a touch of elegance and sophistication.

54

Our products are trendsetting and perfect for any space. In addition, because of steel furniture’s lean frames and light weight features, they are easier to move around and that makes them flexible to redecorate without taking up too much space. Metal or steel furniture come in a wide range of designs, so if you have varied tastes you will surely find one that will complement your interior decors. Some metal furniture also come with designs that mimic wood patterns like maple and oak through laminates. However, you will be sure that the laminates we use are of top quality to ensure that they not only look great but also last a long time. Aside from laminates, the lacquer finish itself will give your steel furniture a vibrant finish, which is not only appealing but is durable.

SKYLIGHTS L’Officina by Vincenzo offers custom designed skylights that give panoramic views and open up a closed in spaces, thus bathing them in natural light. Our skylights are custom made with fortified glass that can hold heavy weight and handle strong winds. The panoramic skylights are an innovative solution that allows for inclined sliding and can also include horizontal sliding, this means either opening up the attic or the roof deck as outdoor or indoor living areas. There are certainly many benefits to having a fixed skylight or an operable skylight installed in your home or workplace. These benefits cover a variety of aspects – from design and aesthetics to physical and psychological health. As such, if you are in the process of renovating your home building one from the ground up, consider having a skylight included in the design. Like with many other fixtures like guillotine windows or horizontal bi-fold doors, there are many considerations though that goes into planning and constructing a skylight.

Gilliver Avenue Vaucluse,NSW David Walker Architects

For one, there’s the placement issue, which is important in order for you to truly maximise natural light and its benefits. There’s also the design aspect, which is important for optimal aesthetic value. Our frame visibility is reduced to a minimum because when a window consists of 1% frame and 99% glass, the boundaries between the interior and the exterior landscape disappear completely. Unlike conventional products, our skylights slide on bearings - the bearings are on a track instead of being on the panel and the sliding track with bearings is 1-meter long, which allows an easy removal, for example to clean-up.

Brighten up your home using natural light, which can help with energy efficiency and comfort.

57

PATINA

Gilliver Avenue Vaucluse,NSW David Walker Architects

Patina is a tarnish produced by oxidation or chemical process on the surface of bronze or similar metals which provides a protective covering that would otherwise be damaged by corrosion or weathering. L’Officina by Vincenzo can provide a unique patina application to the mild steel and other metals such as bronze, brass and zinc.

Our technique is to apply the patina to the metal surface to simulate antiquity with colour and texture in our newly custom-made objects. 58

The preparation prior to the application of the patina is 70% of the process. We then enhance the patinated surface with a clear paint coating and we protect it by waxing and applying an oil coating.

CARMINATI

Carminati Carminati Serramenti was founded in Italy in 1894 as a small joiner’s workshop that manufactures wooden articles. After 120 years, it has become a leading manufacturer of wooden windows and doors.

L’Officina by Vincenzo brings Carminati’s Skyline System to the Australian market. This system is a new generation of doors and windows with its very slim frame profiles and excellent technical performance. The minimal wooden profile increases the surface of the glass and allows beautiful open spaces with natural light.

The oldest architectural element – wood – combined with modern building technologies, creates a prestigious window frame with a refined design. Skyline frames can be made from different types of wood and with different finishes. Finishes can be customised according to the home’s design. Attention to detail is a particular feature of the handles too. Carminati Serramenti has designed a special collection of door handles dedicated to the Skyline System. The handles are characterised by modern and meticulous designs, with the possibility to choose from satin or shiny chrome finish.

SKYLINE SLIDING The following possibilities in sliding doors: (1) two sliding panels, (2) four panels with two fixed lateral panels and two central sliding panels, (3) one fixed panel and one sliding panel, or (4) angular or hidden into the wall. The fixed panel can be completely made of glass or combined with a wooden frame. The opening and the closing of the panel are possible because of a bottom track embedded within the floor, which allows fluid sliding of glass panels of large dimensions.

SKYLINE DOOR Opening of one to three panels, window and window door, horizontal and vertical pivot, with locking system and handles, fixed or movable opening type. Possibility to install either concealed hinges for a more modern design, or classical hinges for a more traditional look of windows and doors.

SKYLINE BI-FOLD DOOR Allows a total opening of the door. It can be constructed with up to 16 shutters with a maximum width of 1 meter and a weight of 100kg each. The extraordinary technical performances of this frame are ideal for spaces that require a seamless continuity between the interior and exterior.

The visual experience is reinforced by the exclusive patented profile in aluminium, which separates the door from the wall with an optical effect due to its distinctive shape. It guarantees that the door is flush with the wall and creates an interplay of shadow and light. Easy

design TRE-Più | LAB Easy door is the protagonist of the renovation of sliding outside the wall doors. The traditional ‘barge-board’ is substituted by a steel rail easy to install. Both door panel and track have a modern design, that makes this new sliding outside the wall door a piece of contemporary technological dimension.

Libro

design TRE-PiĂš | LAB The folding Libro besides reducing the door space to the bare minimum without any intervention on the wall suggests a new pleasant aesthetic proposal: instead of the compact full wing door, a light and more dynamic door with vertical panels. Libro door occupies a small space when it is opened and has a unique structural and functional design that makes it perfect to save space. 83

The sliding version of L7 creates perfect solutions, tailored to define both domestic and work spaces. Punctuated by the lustrous lines of the frames, the glass surfaces are illuminated by beautiful hues and shades of colour.

The sliding version of L7 plays on the shades of bronze used in both the aluminium profile and the transparent glass.

AGS SYSTEMS

Harmonious perfection clear lines AGS Systems is a company based in Italy that provides modern solutions and innovations for minimalistic architecture. The company puts elegance and new principles into designing details. Through its partnership with L’Officina by Vincenzo, the Australian market now has access to innovative concealed door frames. Lintel-free doorways have an important role in modern building design – to give rooms a more spacious and uncluttered look. A door is a moving part of the building, and lintels were designed to conceal the vibrations cracks around the door frame. AGS has overcome this problem for concealed door frames with an integral plastering reinforcement mesh that bonds the frame to the wall in a permanent way. No cracks, no frame sealants!

This solution operates the two sections of the door without the need of the tracks inside the garage where the first section acts as the track and rail for the second section that follows beneath.

Overlap door Advantages 1. Trackless

3. Counterweight system

This is the main feature that makes Overlap a unique selling proposition. Thanks to its self-standing frame and the two stackable sections, Overlap does not require the unsightly ceiling rails.

The mechanical movement of the panels is provided by double counterweighs on each side of the frame and as a consequence parts exposed to wear and tear are reduced to a minimum.

2. Operator positioned inside the frame

4. Appearance

The motor is housed inside the upper beam of the door frame, does not need sliding structures and does not reduce the net passage (height) of the garage door.

This innovation makes a clean and orderly garage space both inside and outside and offer bespoke solutions in sizes and finishes.

Mission possible Overlap makes it possible numerous customized solutions to provide you with the garage of your dreams. The Overlap system is suitable also for non-garage environments when a technical access is needed and at the same time the appearance is important or there are space constraints.

Installation types overlap - overbas

Between wall installation This installation type is suited in case the wall opening does not allow fixing behind the opening. It is especially common in the case of a door replacement. Thanks to the self-supporting frame, Overlap doors with outer frame dimensions until can be directly fixed to sidewalls and over-wall with no other supporting component (e.g. Tubular, etc.) which is otherwise necessary for bigger dimension doors.

Behind wall installation This installation is performed when the wall opening presents enough side-room and head-room. In this case, the door frame is anchored behind the wall and it is possible to maximize door clearance. This solution should be preferred as it allows a better thermal insulation of the garage. 101
