IF YOU REALLY WANT TO GET INTO CARS OR THE HISTORY OF VEHICLES AND SUCH, CARLISLE IS A GREAT PLACE TO START. Carlisle was a great experience. The amount of variety

in bringing so many people together from around the country and vehicles from around the world. You can see Dodges, Nissans, Subarus, Fords, Chevys, Toyotas, and so much more. As this was my first time going to this event, it really got me thinking about the impact cars have beyond being just a source of transportation. The models and materials used throughout the years really differentiate the cars as you look at newer models

Carlisle was just a blast and I plan to go there again. It was truly a blessing and amazing to meet new people and to create and share new bonds all because of something that most normal, everyday people would look at cars as just being a form of day to day travel. If you really want to get into cars or the history of vehicles and such, Carlisle is a great place to start. Just go and attend and meet the people who own these beautiful

of surprises!

Obviously the most infamous is Carlisle Ford Nationals, but did you know that they have a weekend dedicated to just about every major auto manufacturer including Chevy, GM, Chrysler, and specific weekends dedicated to Corvettes and trucks in general? One show that we attend other than Carlisle Ford Nationals is the Carlisle Import & Performance

The show has vehicles from every category, every country, and every year. You can literally attend year to year and see things that will never be seen again. Often, people stop in with their valued collectible just passing through and this show attracts people from all over the globe. For any true auto enthusiast, it is one event that you do not want to miss. A couple

of the coolest things you can find at the Carlisle Import & Performance weekend is the Auto Limbo Contest, Rolling Exhaust Contest, and the Scavenger hunts that have attendees going from display to display collecting information and souvenirs from global auto manufacturers and their representatives. The Auto Limbo Contest hosts some friendly competition to see who has the lowest dropped car literally driving under a giant limbo bar, the Rolling Exhaust Contest hosts some friendly competition to see who has the loudest car by roaring up one of the side streets, and the Scavenger hunts include the participants dressing up in different outfits from different countries and cultures. Every event is nothing but fun.

This year at the Carlisle Import & Performance weekend we found plenty of eye candy and very unique vehicles to photograph. We found post apocalyptic builds, high end European cars, limited edition super sport vehicles, and tons of rides that had custom paint and vinyl graphics throughout. One of the focus vehicles for this year’s event was the Nissan Zs. They had every year and model and the amount of history on the fairgrounds was unbeatable. The Carlisle Import & Performance weekend is nothing but full of surprises and if you have never attended, take one year and just check it out. It might not be as big and popular as Carlisle Ford Nationals, but it definitely will impress you. PHOTO CRED: DANIEL RAMEY
