The art of Bogdan Molea is a statement of technical ability and the concept of beauty in contemporary artistic creation. Molea is devoted to the technical and cultural aspects of artistic expression and is inspired by 14th century Byzantine art and the Italian Renaissance. The artist's use of dramatic shapes in his object oriented work, creates drama and tension in his paintings.

Bogdan Molea was born in Romania in 1958. Molea completed his university studies at the Nicolae Grigorescu Institute of Fine Arts in Bucharest in 1984 graduating with majors in Monumental Art, Conservation-Restoration and Art Instruction. He lives and works in Toronto, Ontario.
