PRIOR TO LMU/QUICK FACTS A 2006 graduate of Harpeth High School, Scott played his prep career for Head Coach Jamie Wilson. During his senior season he averaged 18.5 points per game, 4.5 assists per game and nine rebounds each game. While on the high school level, Erland was named to the 2005 alldistrict team, all-district tournament team and all-region team. In 2006 he was again named all-district and was voted the district tournament MVP. Scott originally came to Lincoln Memorial University as a baseball player and has become a dual-sport athlete for the Railsplitter athletics program. COACH SCHERTZ ON SCOTT “Scott really shoots the ball well from the perimeter and has very good toughness. If he can recound the ball consistently, he will have a chance to be a big part of our rotation this season.”

RAILSPLITTER BASKETBALL FACTOID Did you know, former Lincoln Memorial University men’s basketball player Brownell Bryant, a graduate of 1949, scored 83 points in one game against Tennessee Wesleyan College on January 24, 1944? LMU won the game 100-24. The game marked the first time the Railsplitter men’s basketball team had ever scored 100 points in a single game. Bryant’s national singele-game scoring record stood until 1954 when Furman’s Frank Silvy scored 100 to break Bryant’s record.

PRIOR TO LMU/QUICK FACTS Josh Stanley comes to the Railsplitter program from Spartanburg Methodist Community College and Anderson University. During his sophomore season, Stanley played for Spartanburg Methodist Community College. Last season for SMCC, Stanley played in 32 games averaging 7.1 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. In addition, Stanley shot 52 percent from three-point range, helping his team finish the year with a 24-8 record which allowed them to finish second in their conference. While playing for Anderson, Stanley averaged 6.1 points per game before transferring to Spartanburg Methodist to play as a sophomore.
