BILLY WILSON: Ranks second in the WCC and 24th in the nation in stolen bases with eight (national leader has 17) to help LMU to 28th in the nation (26) ... also leads the team in runs, doubles and RBI.

GOOD IN A PINCH: LMU has a handful of players who have been stellar in pinch-hit opportunities this year ... Steven Chavez and Brandon Shearer are both 2-for-2, while Nick Sogard is 2-for-4 ... all three players have also drawn a walk in the pinch, as LMU has drawn six in such situations ... pinch hitters have combined to post a .280 average and a .394 on-base percentage. LION TRACKS: LMU won its third weekend series of the year last weekend, taking the

first two games of a three-game series at Cal Poly ... the Lions posted their second shutout of the year on Friday before coming from behind to post a 6-5 win on Saturday in 10 innings ... the Saturday contest was the first extra-inning affair of the year for the Lions ... Phil Caulfield led the way offensively, going 6-for-12 (.500) with two runs scored and two RBI over the three games ... Steven Chavez hit .455 with a double and a run scored, while Nick Sogard posted a double and a triple ... Blake Redman threw the first 7.0 scoreless innings in Friday's shutout win, setting a new career best in strikeouts with 10. IN 2016, LMU: Dropped 6 of its last 8 overall ... earned five All-WCC selections ...
