We continue to build on our theme for the “Decade of God’s Greatness” in the fiscal year 2022-23. The year 2022 is the eve that will usher in our jubilee year as The LIFE Ministry Kenya. And hence, the theme, “Blessing Nations” is very appropriate as we focus on the key words: Great “Nation”, “Blessing” and “all the nations”. The word nation or nations appears about 665 times in the Bible (61 times in the NT alone) and 34 Bible Verses about God Blesses Nations.
God’s original plan and promises to reach all nations on earth remains the same from Genesis to Revelation. From God’s call of Abram and His Abrahamic promise (Genesis 12:1-4) to make a “great nation” of Abraham in Genesis. Jesus shared the Father’s heart for the nations and entrusted His disciples to do something about it. After being with His disciples for three and a half years, Jesus gave them what is commonly known as the Great Commission. He said,
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
Two millennia after Abraham believed the Lord’s promise to bless other nations through him, and years after Jesus’ death and resurrection, Paul carried God’s promise forward to the gentile Galatians.
Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham. Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.” So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith. Galatians 3:7-9
Paul writes centuries later to the Ephesians, reminding them that God the Father reigns beyond their extended families and neighbourhoods to “every family in heaven and on earth” (Ephesians 3:14). Finally, the culmination of God’s promise will be the gathering of “A Great Multitude from Every Nation” in Revelation.
After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. Revelation 7:9
We, in The LIFE Ministry Kenya, believe that God still intends to use us as His people to work out His promises. We are Abraham’s offspring (or seed) reaching our generation today, as His long-term plan to reach all peoples on earth. We are heirs of God’s Promise through whom all nations on earth will be blessed” (Genesis 22:18).
God gave Abraham multiple promises, including the long-term plan to bless “all nations on earth” through him. We are God’s children “through faith,” (not through any law), a “people belonging to Christ” (Galatians 3:29). Jesus, with all his kingly authority, blesses all peoples with salvation, as the Church makes disciples of all nations. God wants to bless The LIFE Ministry Kenya to be a blessing (God’s unmerited divine favor) to other nations. God will intervene to make The LIFE Ministry Kenya better, to grow us and bring us joy as we celebrate 50 years in 2023. .
The word nation, in Greek ETHNOS, means; a people group, from a root ETHO that means; a race (as of the same habit) or a tribe.
At the macro level, the nation of Kenya with a current population estimated at 50 million people is a collection of close to 50 people groups (nations) that we are to make Christ’s disciples (Mt 28:19,20). In line with our global strategic intent of pioneering to the missional gap, we believe that we can bridge the gap both at national level by targeting every ethnic group in Kenya as part of celebrating our 50 years of our ministry existence. We also want to raise sustainable leadership and funding to reach other African nations and beyond by sending more missionaries and mission teams than any other time in our history.
These nations, both at the micro meaning level and at the macro meaning level are gripped by wicked forces of evil; and these forces like corruption, tribalism in Kenya cannot be ignored in our calling, to make nations Christ’s disciples. As much as we are called to disciple individuals, there is a calling to deliver nations (with ALL authority, from forces of evil Mt 28:18), to teach (with ALL authority), or to transform (with ALL authority) people groups that are gripped by wicked forces.
The LIFE Ministry Kenya priorities for this year have been building Prayer Movements, achieving local sustainable leadership and funding characterised by an increase of 30% by 2022/23, Movement building and preparation of 50 years Celebrations. The focus on our regional ministry centre growth has been manpower, facility, ministry impact and an increase of teams’ presence. We bless the Lord in the last 5 years, the ministry has built enough capacity to reach our scope in Kenya which is divided into 47 counties administratively. We have established 8 regional ministry hubs including the headquarter in Nairobi which is a part of the Nairobi Metro Region.

My name is Pastor Thomas Kimwetich, a pastor at AIC Lawich Church. First and foremost, I thank God for joining NLTC class as it has assisted me personally; enriched my family relations and improved my ministry in church. It enlightened me on how to handle believers and non-believers and how to approach issues. I have also learnt and known that I need to treat everyone in the church equally, as everybody is very important, plan my work well and become time conscious.
The four spiritual laws assisted me in approaching everyone. Many people accepted Jesus Christ and it is still my prayer that they will come to church. I managed to attend a crusade at a nearby trading center and joined the women evangelism team from Kapsowar. We showed the Jesus Film and most people were very happy because the message is in our language.
I taught spiritual laws at Lawich secondary school and it was received well. Through the Four Spiritual Laws, I have been able to teach the Bible more than before. It has enabled me to not only grow the church spiritually but also grow my personal spirituality. Finally, it has taught me the importance of teaching and training. I have seen the fullness of multiplication rather than addition.
My name is Liza Wanjiku, a first-year student at Kiambu Institute of Science and Technology. I attended The LIFE Ministry Kenya Bridge program in 2021. Before the Bridge program, I was disobedient, rude to my parents, took alcohol and hung out with the wrong company. During the four-month Bridge program, I gave my life to Christ, cut off from my old company and became respectful to my parents. In 2022, I served as a Bridge mentor and the center had 33 bridgers who graduated from the program on Saturday, 23rd July 2022.
May God continue blessing The LIFE Ministry Kenya as they transform lives for God’s glory.
For the last fifty years, The LIFE Ministry Kenya has been working among communities in Kenya to bring the message of hope found in God and building movements of transformational leadership in partnership with local churches, students, marketplace professionals, sporting community, business executives and leaders in public and diplomatic space. Through our partners’ sacrificial giving, the Lord is doing great things in The LIFE Ministry Kenya (LMK). People are giving their lives to Christ, others are being restored to fellowship with Jesus Christ and many are finding hope in God. To our partners we say, “You are a Blessing to the Nations.”
This year’s Partners’ Open Day was a hybrid meeting, both online and physical. After two years of gathering online, it was a joy to convene together and give glory to God for all that He has enabled us to achieve. The event that took place on 15th October 2022 at the LMK National office brought together leaders from various backgrounds who had been impacted by the work of The LIFE Ministry Kenya over the years.
They included clergy and leaders in government and the private sector. Various participants gave testimonies on what the Lord is doing through the LMK Vision of building movements in every county in Kenya so that everyone knows someone who truly follows Jesus.
The Board Chair, Dr. Lucy Kiyiapi encouraged the partners to continue doing the same and invite others to join the work in the vineyard of Jesus Christ. She stated that nothing is impossible as people can evangelize, talk to other people, pray with them, and counsel them when they are discouraged because God has invested a lot in them.
In conclusion, she noted that although people may not have much time, the love and generosity that God has invested in them is what He wants them to use to touch other people’s lives.
Sammy Likidi shared how he made the life changing decision to follow Christ in university. He narrated that Ambilike Mwangomo visited him and introduced himself as a LMK staff member. He kept visiting him weekly to find out how he was doing and to pray with him.
He also supported him when he needed money for basic necessities. Sammy learnt a lot from his companionship with Ambilike and it was later in life that he understood that their fellowship was discipleship.
He later attended the New Life Training Centre and was assigned two young disciples to follow up.
The Chief Administrative Secretary, National Treasury and Economic Planning, Hon. Eric Simiyu Wafukho, was invited as the Chief Guest. He spoke about influencing the marketplace and how Campus Crusade for Christ impacted him with skills that he is using to transform Kenya.
In his message to The LIFE Ministry Kenya family, CAS Wafukho mentioned that the leaders are technically prepared, spiritually nourished and strategically positioned to use their L.I.F.E (Leadership, Influence,
He challenged The LIFE Ministry Kenya to intensify efforts in equipping the Josephs of Africa, men and women who have the right attitude, passionate hearts, skilled hands and visionary perspectives to make an impact at local, regional and global levels. God is involved in creating and using circumstances to move Josephs into the seasons they need to be and out of the seasons that they are in. When God is working,
He strategically positions destiny helpers (disciplers) to help link Joseph with opportunities. God equips and facilitates Joseph to balance between the big picture and the required details. God equips Joseph with managerial and execution skills.

AfCAA seeks to unlock Africa’s potential through adherence to Biblical standards by advancing the adoption of the standards of accountability and faithful stewardship of God given resources in all sectors of Christian life. LMK is a member of AfCAA and became a charter member, being among the first in Africa to be accredited.
We thank God for the LMK assessment by AfCAA in June 2022 on the following standards: Doctrinal, Learning and Innovation, Financial Management, Leadership & Governance, Talent Management, Cultural Differences and Resource Mobilization.
The Life Frontier School was given a high rating on cultural consistency. The report showed the present status of The LIFE Ministry Kenya, which is beneficial towards moving The LIFE Ministry Kenya to stage 3, preparations towards the 50 years celebrations, and preparations towards transitions.
Stage 3 is characterized by contributing leadership, finances, movement models, etc. to the global Campus Crusade for Christ (CCC) and its mission. The ministry will endeavor to capitalize on building strengths in the areas of evangelism and discipleship.
The LIFE Ministry Kenya (LMK) continues to appreciate our partners who have consistently supported LMK in ensuring that we have movements everywhere so that everyone will know someone who truly follows Jesus.
These appreciations are especially heartfelt as we come from a pandemic that shrunk the finances of many people around the world. Despite this LMK partners continued to give especially with the understanding that many people need true hope in the midst of the uncertainty brought by the pandemic. LMK extensively provided avenues for people to hear God’s word through many organized webinars and concerted online outreach efforts.

Tell us about yourself. Who is Mr. George Wachiuri?
My name is George Wachiuri, I am the Team Leader at the Optiven Group and the Chairman of the Optiven Group Foundation. I was born in Kieni where I also grew up and went to school within the community of Laburra. Like many who grew up in the early seventies, I enjoyed the times of going to school on foot, crossing rivers, and being innovative with the materials we would find in the environment. I have documented my journey in a memoir that provides support to the Optiven Group Foundation by donating 100% of the proceeds to the foundation. The book is available locally and online and it is titled “Soaring Like an Eagle”.
What influenced your career choice? What milestones have you achieved?
I started my career well before I graduated based on the challenges that I faced before and during my time at the University of Nairobi. The chores I did for my comrades and being the official photographer while on campus is what birthed and influenced the entrepreneurship spirit in me which tells you I am an entrepreneur at heart. The greatest achievement this far has been the transformation across the country witnessed by the beginning of the Optiven Foundation, and the George Wachiuri School of Mentorship.
Throughout the journey I have taken several risks such as trusting the vision to the associates working with Optiven, believing that the brand is capable of expanding therefore venturing into different sectors and stepping into uncharted waters by moving beyond the borders to empower and inspire Africa.
What would you say is your principle of success in leadership?
Without a doubt, I believe in God and His power to enable us to achieve that which
we trust Him for. There is no question about the role faith has played for us at Optiven and with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we have been able to receive mega breakthroughs and revelation as regards business. The place of key mentors including Dr. James Mwangi of Equity and Mr. Kingston Ogango of Alpha Kenya together with our chaplain, Bishop Phillips Katutu of Destiny Life Church, I can say we continue to conquer Initiative and the Environment pillar.
What key experiences have shaped you into the person you are today?
From an early age, I learned that it takes a village to raise a child after I lost my father in 1978. My mother, a young and uneducated widow was left destitute, discouraged, and disturbed while being strong enough to take care of my siblings and I. We did not have much but she taught us key lessons regarding sharing what we had and as such greatly nurtured my philanthropist spirit up until her demise. The experience and exposure to new worldviews as a result of joining university and my work experience also played a key role in the person I am today. My journey to becoming an entrepreneur also had an impact so deep that I had no option but to write books; Soaring Like An Eagle and
Unleash Your Full Potential whose 100% income goes to the philanthropy support of the Optiven Foundation.
Tell us about your Christian faith - how does your faith make a difference in your everyday life as a leader?
I was raised in a great Catholic family where I was nurtured early into the fear of the Lord. My journey of faith came to a summit when I was at my lowest such that I only had God, my wife, and my Pastor when I lost all my savings and was left with nothing but hope. It is these experiences that have been a guiding light with my every rising. Day and night I am glad that this has been acceptable and practicable with members of my family as well. Faith has been the glue that has held me together in all aspects of my life, as a leader, a father, a spouse, a mentor, and a child of God.
I have many favourite verses but the one that stands out over and over is Isaiah chapter 40 verse 31, “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint”.
How do you balance career, marriage and working together?
One of the key catalysts for balancing career and marriage is organizing time and being purposeful. To be in line with the work that I do I dedicate a good four days to the office and a great one day to think and be with my family. I have found that this works great to ensure that a balance between family and work is achieved. Working with my wife Mary has been a blessing as she has immense values that I am privileged to tap into. And because we complement one another while having a clear focus, I am happy to say that it is a divine arrangement because God loves Optiven.
How are you leveraging influence, finance, and expertise for the Great Commission?
When I think of the Great Commission, I believe it is not just for the church but for every believer, and as such, all of us are called to be disciples of Christ all over the world. For us, we have taken it a notch higher by merging it with the words of the gospel of Mathew 5:14-16 which says "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a
bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
Having said that as a leader at Optiven, we are leveraging our influence by providing opportunities to as many people as possible within the businesses that we do because we believe that there is enough for everyone. Where finances are concerned,
we understand that what we receive is not ours as we are simply stewards managing these resources on behalf of the Father of all wealth and we are accountable to Him through giving back to society through the Optiven Foundation. Where expertise is concerned, we are keen to not withhold what we know but to use it as a gift worthy of sharing to ensure that those who do not know are mentored, exposed, and provided an opportunity to learn, grow and thrive with Optiven.
What faith-based legacy would you like to leave behind?
Not just for me but for Optiven as a brand, I often find myself reflecting on the writings in the gospel of Mathew chapter 25 from verse 34 onwards which should be sobering not just for me but for all humanity. "Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?
And when did we see you as a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’"
Our legacy continues in the lives of the children we take to school through the Soaring Eagles Scholarship Program (SESP), through the lives of the widows that we have provided homes for under
the Poverty Eradication pillar, through the lives of the youth that have gone to college from the Education pillar, through the support to children’s homes under the Health pillar, and through the stewardship
of God’s creation in what we do under Go Green Initiative and the Environment pillar.

Peter Ludenyo, a staff at The LIFE Ministry Kenya, shared his experience on how he was frustrated after Jesus Film training because he did not get it right. The audio settings were not working on his device. He sought to know more and upon learning how to use the Jesus Film App, he shared it with a couple he had been engaging and challenging to consider following Jesus. They always responded that it was not their time yet. He sent them the Walking with Jesus film and after two hours of watching, he called them and amazingly the man told him he wanted to get saved. When he was about to pray with him, he heard his wife saying in the background that she also wanted to get saved. Peter prayed with them as they received Christ.
In his first follow up, the family invited their friends, a couple, to the fellowship. The new couple heard the gospel and also received Christ as their Savior.
Peter reports that he is currently training two other pastors and members of his church on using the Jesus Film app for outreach.
Below are some of the Children Evangelism feedback from different participants.

The impact of COVID 19 pandemic left many Kenyans desperate and needy for basic necessities. Christ calls upon us to care, share what He has given us and dispense hope especially to the most vulnerable in our midst. Kapu La Tumaini is an initiative by The LIFE Ministry Kenya to extend a hand to the neediest and share the Hope of Christ. This initiative took place at Madogo, Tana River and Kibera, Nairobi.
On 13th June 2020, Kapu La Tumaini was able to distribute food to more than 150 families in Kianda village in Kibera Slums. The vulnerable families were first identified and registered prior to the distribution process.
The team first visited Kibera Slums on 23rd May 2020 for the identification of families and their needs. Some locals were enlisted to help in actualizing the identification process as they are more familiar with their locality.
Bucket Ministry, as introduced to the team, is an initiative by some locals that works on giving basic hygiene necessities to needy families in slums. They had formerly given buckets to the residents and with that experience, they were of great help to Kapu La Tumaini.
On 3rd June 2020, the LMK team met with the Kibera team at the LMK offices to deliberate on how to go about identifying the needy families in the targeted area. On 6th June, the two teams went to the slums
and identified the vulnerable families physically by visiting their households. They were able to get 138 families.
Kapu La Tumaini Nairobi Team worked with a budget of Ksh 150,000 with a goal of feeding 150 families. The team agreed on the care package which consisted of 6kg maize flour, 2ltr cooking oil, 1kg sugar, 3kg rice and a bar soap for each family.
The distribution process happened on 13th June 2020 after getting approval from the local authorities; the District Commissioner and the area Chief. The exercise was done in compliance with the government directives where all the health measures were observed.
The food distribution exercise was smooth and peaceful as 150 families received the care packages.
9 people gave their lives to Christ on that day. 4 people had received Christ during the identification process. This exercise opened the door for partnership and ministry in those areas where the involved pastors wanted to know more about The
On 13th June 2020, Kapu la Tumaini Initiative was carried out at Madogo. The activity budget was Ksh.160,000, targeting 120 households from Bula Baraka, Vango, Bula Karatasi, Decodanza, Mororo, Adele, Kordha and Hagarsot.
The items distributed were: wheat flour (6kgs per household), cooking oil (2ltrs), soap, rice (4kg per household) and beans (2kg per household).
We shared the message of Christ which was well received. The residents were overwhelmed with gratitude, and songs of praise rendered the atmosphere. They invited us again and as the Lord enables, we surely will. It was an honor that God used us in such a great capacity to be a blessing to His beloved.
The LIFE Ministry Kenya has distributed Bibles to various regions which has encouraged new believers and other congregants to attend church services because they can read what they are being taught and confirm that it’s found in the Bible.
The Global Outreach Day Movement in the year 2020 commonly known as GO 2020 had a great impact at Mukuru kwa Njenga. Through the movement, more than 400 people made the decision to follow Christ and churches were planted in Mukuru. Following this great impact, The LIFE Ministry Kenya saw it fit to give Bibles to the new believers as part of the followup process. A team was put together to aid in the Bible Distribution and the event happened on19th June 2021. Mobilization and planning were done to ensure smooth flow of the entire process. A total of 10 Pastors were mobilized for Vision Casting and Training and 80 new believers received the Bibles.
In the Coastal Region, the Bibles were distributed to the new believers in Shaka in Mariakani, Kajionee Trading Centre in Viragoni and Mariakani Town Centre. The number of people who received the Bibles was 64, which included 10 small youth English Bibles received from Alpha Kenya.
On 23rd October 2020, Drs. Winnie and Sammy Ndumu held a Seminar for pastors at Ikutha Region in Kitui County
in Kenya.106 pastors were in attendance. They distributed the Kikamba Bibles to all the Pastors. Through a gift of USD 5,000, they were able to purchase 500 Bibles.
In Vihiga county, a group of believers that started with 15 members from the Salvation Army Church increased to 20 after they were joined by members from other churches. The Bible gift has moved many to join the group so that they can also receive Bibles. They are especially happy because
they can study the Word of God together.
Rev. James Mwaura serves in the prison ministry. In April 2022, The LIFE Ministry Kenya donated 5 Swahili Bibles to the prison ministry. After baptizing 7 inmates at the Naivasha Prison, he gave five wards (rooms) a copy of the Bible. Each room has a Christian leader who prays in the morning and evening and shares the word.

Send Christ-Centered multiplying disciples so that everyone knows someone who truly follows Jesus.
My ministry involvement started as a student in 1990 at the University of Campus. I was discipled one-on-one and in a discipleship group, equipped and eventually served as a student leader. I joined The LIFE Ministry Kenya in 1996 intern for three months at the University was Information Manager in charge of all ushered into management and national leadership teams.
I joined The LIFE Ministry Kenya in July 1998 as an intern. In 1999, I worked in the which made it easy for me to work with Pastors. I always had great passion for missions since I received Christ through a crusade and I love to see lives changed.
Arnold and I had the same desire, vision and passion for missions, and as a result became friends and later it grew to a love relationship. In one of the mission projects in Mombasa in 1999, Arnold proposed to me and I said yes.
On 29th April 2000, we got married. Thereafter, I helped Arnold with the ministry tracking system and statistics
2000, through our best couple who were missionaries in Zimbabwe then overseeing our ministry in Mozambique, we were challenged to consider serving outside the country.
We organized a mission project in September 2003 to Mozambique. Arnold and I saw an opportunity to possess the land. We encountered God in Maputo like Saul did on the road to Damascus. The sight of evil made me complain to God and request Him to take us to a friendly country like Tanzania. We were hesitant to serve in Mozambique because of the extreme challenges. Our daughter was only one and a half years old and there was language barrier. We didn’t want to raise our daughter in such an environment.

God was developing us in character, humility and dependence on Him. Our cry to God was, “Why are we surrounded by problems to solve and yet our mission
is to share the gospel and disciple new converts?” God’s answer was simple, “My kingdom is a kingdom of order.” We were His vessels to put things in order. Years later, this lesson shaped our mission

Slowly by slowly, God started manifesting Himself in great ways. We started focusing our energy at the main University and

By God’s grace we mobilized 25 students who raised support locally and participated in the All-Africa Student Conference called Pamoja Africa held in Nakuru at Kabarak University.
After 6 years, we had exposed 10 provinces to the gospel through operation ‘Caleb Mozambique project’. God had spoken to us in Numbers 13:30 “And Caleb stilled (silenced) the people before Moses and said, let us go up at once and possess it (the land). For we are well able to overcome it.” We stepped out like Caleb, though we were a minority to possess the land and transform Mozambique into a sending nation.
By the time we left Mozambique, the ministry had stabilized in many ways. From 9 USD, we left behind an organization with 64,000 USD and systems in place. The organization was under the student leaders who had graduated and one of them, Domingos Langa is still giving leadership today by the grace of God. We often follow up and mentor him to ensure the ministry is heading in the right path. Under his leadership the ministry bought a piece of land and built a small National

The LIFE Ministry Kenya did well in the 90s and early 2000s but was in the valley when we took over. Since its inception in 1973, we have had seasons of great harvests, expansions, equipping, sending of projects and great impact of evangelism and discipleship across Kenya. However, we began struggling while approaching 40 years as a result of a spiritual decline, frequent leadership changes at the national level, weak governance, and

Since October 2021, Arnold has been a part of the Global Fund Capacity Team and leading a team of Africa Fund Capacity. He was also appointed as a Vice President representative under the Africa Region VP helping with 13 countries. We will be working with leaders across 50 countries in Africa, coaching, mentoring and building capacity for sustainability, which is one of the greatest needs.
Until everyone sees and hears about Jesus. When that happens, Revelation 5:9 will become a reality: “And they sang a new song, saying: ‘You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.’”
This scripture will become possible when we partner in the gospel. A partnership is joining hands for a specific agenda. God’s agenda is the Great Commission. A partner is a joint owner and there are benefits in any partnership. When you join hands, you direct your energy, ideas and resources to that one thing. To get more results in any field (family, business, ministry etc), partnership is very key. When you join hands, you direct your energy/ ideas/ resources to that one thing.
On the 18th day of February 2022, The LIFE Ministry Kenya launched the Africa Jesus Film (JF) Equipment Distribution Centre in Kenya. Jesus Film is a strategy of Campus Crusade for Christ (CCC), The ceremony was witnessed by Campus Crusade for Christ global leaders, African leaders, key ministry partners, The LIFE Ministry Kenya board members among many other guests. The ceremony was attended by more than 200 people both in person and online.
Some Church partners were given a backpack with all the equipment for showing the JF. Can you imagine 5,000 JF packs in the hands of partners in Africa within a few years? Can you imagine each
partner showing JF for 4 days in a month in a village where there is no fellowship/ cell group or a church?
Those will be 20,000 shows. If each show has a minimum of 50 people attending, 1,000,000 will hear the gospel in one month. How many people will be exposed to the gospel in one year? How about if 10% will be saved? How about if a 1/4 will be followed up effectively to join a church or start a fellowship/cell or a church?
The use of JF in the hands of like-minded church leaders has brought much profit into the Kingdom of God than ever before. Do you know of a strategic denomination that can partner with The LIFE Ministry Kenya in your country by the use of Jesus Film? It is possible to get a Jesus Film backpack.
You can also have the Jesus Film on your smartphone. Just download the Jesus
Film app into your phone and you will get JF in your local language and you can show it to your friend, engage a friend or use it in your home church/fellowship.
The Bishop of Redeemed Gospel Church had this to say, “Truly, this is the Lord's doing and it is marvelous before our eyes.”
Speaking at the Launch, Rev. Arnold Nzova, expressed his gratitude for the partnership between The LIFE Ministry Kenya and the Jesus Film Project. He noted that the partnership was very much in line with The LIFE Ministry Kenya’s vision for the next 10 years which is experiencing God's greatness as the organization prepares to celebrate 50 years in 2023.
Mr. David Wataba, Geography Strategy Leader, Jesus Film Project, Africa had this to say, “I want to say that as historical as this event may be, the grand opening of the Africa Distribution Center is not the main reason for the celebration. The main reason as I look at this center is that it will fuel missions on the African continent… I believe that is the reason we are celebrating today, and I pray that every tongue, every nation, every person, every language will have an opportunity to hear a clear presentation of the gospel in their heart language.”
Jesus Film Project, Africa stated that the center will fuel missions on the African continent. Mr. Joshua Newell, Global Vice President for Jesus Film Project gave a hearty gratitude to all persons who made the day possible. “We believe together that everyone should have an opportunity to encounter Jesus Christ and that is what brings us together.” Jesus Film Project has continued to improve on the equipment to suit the African context.
Dr. Farai Katsande, Global Vice President Africa Region, Campus Crusade for Christ Intl noted that Jesus Film has championed church planting since 1979 when the Jesus Film was introduced in Africa. Therefore, the partnership was going to accelerate outreach to every corner in Africa and fill up the mission gap in the continent.
"The story of Jesus Christ is the story of hope, peace and a better tomorrow and if there was a time that the world ever needed to hear the story of hope it is today." Speaking passionately about
why we need to share the Jesus Film, Dr. Ezekiel Mutua, MBS - a consummate Career Media Practitioner, explained, “In a day when the social media and the secular media is populating the airwaves with negativity, obscenity, immorality and the all manner of bizarre stuff that makes it look like news is a horror movie, we need alternative content. We need counter narratives. We must tell the story that gives hope in a hopeless world and there is no better story than the story of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.”
Jesus Film, it is introducing them to the person of our Lord Jesus Christ who will transform them.
When you partner with God in His agenda:
• Your partnership with God has an eternal value - it's eternal.
• Your partnership carries generational effects - it’s generational.
• Your partnership has blessings to you and to the nations - it carries blessings.
Hon. Justice Daniel Musinga, President of the Court of Appeal was the keynote speaker of the day. He spoke on the importance of ministry partnerships and the need to harness the power of technology for evangelism. The Great Commission in itself is a call for partnership between one who has all the sovereign authority of our Lord Jesus Christ and ordinary human beings who are otherwise empowered by the Holy Spirit to make disciples of all nations. Through the use of appropriate technology, we can ensure that every young person sees the Jesus Film at least twice before they attain the age of 24. It's not just about seeing the
Bishop Dickson Njoroge is a key partner from the Global Transforming Mission who has used the Jesus Film for a number of years in Central Kenya, Kirinyaga County. During the launch, he testified that it is a wonderful tool for evangelism, widely used when planting churches because it is in the local language which everyone is able to understand. The film itself also brings harmony between the servants of God as they become willing to work together as a team for Kingdom purpose.
Jimmy Gor, a key ministry partner serving with Christian Impact Mission among the Pokot Community in Baringo, expressed his joy on the impact of Jesus Film. He reported that they have been able to plant 13 churches in seven (7) years.
God Almighty has positioned The LIFE Ministry Kenya to be a Blessing to the Nations. We celebrate the many milestones He has accorded us. Psalm 105:1 - “Give praise to the Lord, proclaim His name; make known among the nations what He has done.”

Addressing those gathered to witness the signing of the MOA, Dr Keith Dindi, the Global Region Coordinator of IGNITE Africa Movement echoed Dr Steve Douglas’s sentiments saying,
IGNITE’s vision is to have a fully funded Great Commission movement of multiplying marketplace leaders who are contributing their Leadership, Influence, Finances and Expertise (L.I.F.E.) through Campus Crusade for Christ. In line with The LIFE Ministry Kenya’s fifth strategic intent of sustainable leadership and finances, sustainability is a major focus as we prepare to celebrate 50 years in 2023.
During the event, Dr. Farai Katsande addressed the leaders as the Global VP Africa. He encouraged all National Team Leaders to partner with Dr. Keith Dindi in mobilizing the African Leaders to start and join the IGNITE Movement in their counties.
He also addressed Africa achieving sustainability through their resources and also through leadership. IGNITE will bring resources and marketplace leaders who have experiences in different capacities in the marketplace.
Speaking about the significance of signing the MOA in a recorded message, Mr. Davy Makimian, the Chairman of IGNITE Global Advisory Board, said that he strongly
believed that the MOA would boost the partnership. In addition, this will also become the fundamental launcher to a vast partnership movement of marketplace leaders, who contribute their L.I.F.E. to the Great Commission through The LIFE Ministry Kenya.
He also hoped that the signing would add momentum for other countries to build solid partnership movements of marketplace leaders through IGNITE. Although there is uncertainty ahead, he urged everyone to join hands together, stretch their faith and make it happen because we have a BIG GOD, and nothing is impossible for HIM.
We therefore have a series of events lined up to build the necessary momentum and
capacity towards a sustainable movement.
IGNITE Impact Marathon, dated 10th to 13th November 2022, aims to not only keep the flame burning but also to help expand our boundaries and be a blessing to many nations.
The LIFE Ministry Kenya board led by the Fund Development and Investment Board and the IGNITE Impact Marathon organizing Committees, have prayerfully set a faith goal to expose 100+ market place leaders to the opportunity of giving their Life, Influence, Finances and Expertise (L.I.F.E) for the fulfillment of the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19).

“The resources to get the work done in Africa exists in Africa among the children of God. The work here is the fulfillment of the Great Commission.”
Kenya is a youthful nation and the period of transition from teens (youth) to adulthood is very crucial to family, church, and
campus, employment, marriage or whatever life holds for them. The period after high school is not just foundational, but very
time for them in their churches as they cross over from teens to youth ministry and our desire is to reach and enrich them at this point. Sadly, a lot of young people lose interest in church at this time.
Bridge is a four-month mentorship strategy designed to holistically mould high school graduates into responsible citizens. It is designed to help those leaving high school get ready to deal with life in university/ college and beyond by helping them understand beforehand the
It also helps them make decisions and in college and afterwards. The program applies Biblical principles.
The topics covered during the class interactions are from the Nawiri book, the four follow-up series, and the four spiritual laws. Program mentors and guests invited by the centres facilitate the classes. Games and other fun activities help keep the minds of the young people focused on the program. Every young person is paired up with a personal mentor who is older and knowledgeable in various disciplines in life. The students are also exposed to practical evangelism through a one-week mission.
In 2022, there were 52 Bridge centres, 638 graduates and 182 Bridge mentors nationwide. The program runs every Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm for about 15 weeks. After successful completion, the
teens youth ministry and our desire is to and enrich them at this
a graduation ceremony. However, that is not the summit. The LIFE Ministry Kenya
mentors help the students transition and settle into campus life.
The Imara Bridge Outreach mobilised over centres in Nairobi on Saturday, 11th June 2022. They were able to reach 318 people. Out of these, 77 decisions were made for Christ. Proper follow-up is the next step as the team continues reaching out. Redeemed Gospel Church Huruma Teens and Bridgers were trained on evangelism and went for practical witnessing on Sunday 22nd May 2022. They reached 90 people and 45 received Christ.
Bridge Camps bring bridgers together to health, relationships etc. These gatherings help to envision the movement's building, evangelism and discipleship pillars. The Nairobi region Bridge Camp was held from 1st to 3rd July 2022 at Word of Life Kabete.
A total of 120 bridgers and mentors from 11 of the 15 churches participated in the camp. The theme for the camp was 'Imparted to Impact' from 2 Timothy 2:2. The Camp was a success. As they
transition to campus, the team of bridgers will launch spiritual movements in their various campuses.
Throughout the camp, the students were connected with other ex-candidates who shared their Bridge experiences. The students learnt about college readiness from the sessions handled by invited facilitators. In the end, the lives of the students were transformed. They learnt to be bold in sharing the gospel with
As a result, they won many souls to Christ. As they formed new friendships, they understood the beauty of living in a community and sharing life experiences. In addition, most of the students got clarity concerning their purpose and careers.
The impact of the fifteen weeks Bridge Program on the lives of all the participants is tremendous. The mentors and students acquire leadership skills. Some students get saved during the Bridge classes, while others are helped out of drug and substance abuse through counselling and prayers by mentors.
Passionately testifying about the positive impact of Bridge in his life as a student, Rony Kyalo remarked, "I used to come to church and occasionally join the praise and worship team. I would later go back to the ‘mtaa’ and join my boys in drugs and substance abuse. The day the announcement was made for the start of Bridge was my first time staying in a church program to the very end.
I decided to give the program a try. When we started classes, my mother got sick, and my family went low on finances. I severally contemplated dropping out of the program and getting into crime to help my family. I did not and I thank God for making me stay.
I will not shy away from saying that Bridge has left an everlasting mark in my life. First, I gave my life to Christ in Bridge and grew so intimate with God who has ever since been transforming me daily. I got an opportunity to study computer packages at church and because of the person I had become, God opened yet another opportunity for me.
A teacher identified me and got me a teaching job at another computer college. My whole life simply took a turn. Bridge came to our church at just the right time and it was God's way of running after my lost self. For this, I am forever grateful."
Students grow bold in witnessing and having confidence in their faith. Mercy Jepkoech remarked that she came from a prayerless, non-bible reading, uncommitted background and she has transformed into a girl who is so passionate about God and all He is. Now she can share her faith without fear or intimidation.
Many parents have also shared their joys concerning the behaviour change in their children since they joined Bridge. They become consistent in church attendance and participation, and some get leadership positions. They can now make informed decisions concerning their careers, with about 90% of them joining colleges.
Carol, who is serving as the leader at Ruaka, narrated her experience of establishing a new centre. "Starting a new centre was a bit scary at first, but I took a leap of faith. The joy that comes from finishing a 3-month program, from the beginning to the end, is very serene."
Anastacia Nthenya started the Bridge program in Korogocho, one of the largest slums in Nairobi, Kenya. As she impacted lives, she was also impacted. Having grown up in the area, she understands the challenges that come with being a teenager there. One of the Bridge participants testifies, "It has helped me a lot in my walk with God. I now know that Christianity is not just a Sunday affair but a daily walk towards knowing God deeper.”
Campus Life is a strategy designed to help students navigate life on campus since it’s a defining time for students. It is a time when critical decisions concerning career paths, religious stand and dating are made. Campus Life provides a platform where students are guided in making the right decisions in these key areas.
Bible Study Groups, One-on-one mentorship, Fellowships, Missions, Outdoor activities: camps, hikes,
sleepovers, eat-outs, games etc.
SLM Campus Life has helped me be responsible in my social life. I have learned how to stay in healthy relationships and do well in academics. I have gained more leadership skills, grown in my spiritual life and used the knowledge gained to bring other students to Christ and participate in their transformation journey.
Life Frontier School will be celebrating 25 years in 2023 while The LIFE Ministry Kenya celebrates 50 years. The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results for the last 24 years show that Life Frontier School (LFS) is pushing regional education standards upwards with a likelihood of favorably competing with other regions in the country. On many occasions, LFS has produced the best KCPE results in Tana River county.
The school has celebrated excellent performances in K.C.P.E. exams despite the Covid-19 Pandemic. The class of 2020 who sat for their exam in 2021, performed exemplarily well with the best candidate having 402 marks and 7 pupils being among the top ten in Tana River county. The class of 2021 who sat for their K.C.P.E exams in early 2022 also performed very well and took most of the top positions in the county. The school had a Mean Score of 335, which is the best ever in the school’s history. The Top Students have since been admitted to schools like Murang’a High School, Mang’u High School, Alliance Girls High School, Baricho High School, Kagumo High School and Bunyore Girls High School.
The new curriculum has many interesting learning activities which makes learning enjoyable. There were several participatory activities in line with the New CBC Curriculum such as swimming, cleaning, music among other practical activities. At the end of the 2021 academic year, the learners participated in a Music Festival which was the main CoCurriculum activity for the term. This year, the grade 3 learners did a community service Project which was part of their KNEC assessment. As a result, they visited Konoramadha village which is 40 km from Madogo. They donated foodstuffs and clothing to the needy members of that community. This was a good act from
them as it trains them on kindness and sharing with the less fortunate in the society.
The Christian Union has enjoyed commendable growth and has been at
the forefront in helping learners grow spiritually. Besides sharing the Word of God, students are being taught the importance of prayer, and how to share the Word in small groups. During the endterm get-together, they organized prayer groups, times for praise and worship and Bible trivia where the learners showed great ability in memorizing Bible verses and stories. The gift of a piano from our National Director has made the services lively.
The school intends to create a study center, consisting of a modern library and a computer laboratory for research and information, which will act as a basis from where learners and the local community as a whole can access local and global information, hence raising the standard of education in the area. This will lead to the production of knowledgeable and holistic members of the community because knowledge is power.
The construction of the first-floor slab was completed in record time and the building is now in use. It is more spacious and much cooler which is good considering the scorching North Eastern sun. The school started a Chicken Project as one of the recommended projects by the School Board of Management. It is a way of raising money to supplement school fees. out of school (that is equivalent to 4 months) due to a lack of school fees. My parents and guardians were not able to pay. It reached a point that all my high school teachers were concerned and they organized fundraising to pay my outstanding fees.
In the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Exams (KCSE), I got a B- Grade. The following year, I got an invitation via text message from a university called Kiriri Women’s University of Science and Technology. They offered me a Partial Scholarship. I did an interview, passed and got the Scholarship. I settled as quickly as possible, wasting no single minute and studied hard.

Global Church Movements (GCM) exist to help further the Kingdom of God by contributing to the growth and development of churches and faith communities. Their mandate originates in Scripture, which teaches us that Jesus came to build His Kingdom through His Church (Matthew 16:18).
GCM continues to work shoulder to shoulder with believers in Kenya, loving, strengthening, and multiplying the Church of Jesus Christ. This is done through the various Christian training that equip the body of Christ for evangelism, discipleship and multiplication.
The New Life Training Centers (NLTC) were launched in different churches across the country. The training equips eager Pastors and other trainees on how to lead movements especially with zeal. Many church leaders were mobilized and equipped to boldly go and share thus multiplying themselves.
Many souls were won to Christ with multiplying groups and new churches being planted in new areas. There are now new missional leaders who are boldly continuing the work to saturate their regions. The National Director Arnold Nzova officiated the NLTC graduations in different regions where top leaders from different Churches attended. In 2021, over 500 people from different Churches
graduated from the NLTC Training and others graduated from the Training of Trainers (ToT).
On 22nd May 2022, NLTC Kapsowar in Elgeyo Marakwet County graduated 9 leaders who had been engaged, trained and coached on evangelism and discipleship for eight months. The team exposed 6,116 people to the Gospel, with 1,354 making the decision to follow Jesus Christ. They have seen 18 LIFE Groups established and one church planted.
13 leaders graduated from the NLTC training at Hope in Christ Christian Center in Kisaju Kajiado County. The graduation had visitors from Mombasa, Taita Taveta, Kisumu, Nakuru, Muranga, and Busia.
The Church is seeking a Jesus Film partnership to show the film and plant Churches along the Kajiado Namanga road, from Isinya to the border of Kenya and Tanzania. During graduation, two men, one of them drunk, received salvation after hearing the preaching by the National Director, Rev. Arnold Nzova.
The NLTC graduation in Nzavoni Makueni happened on 17th June 2022, where top leaders from 6 Baptist Churches attended. Through Nzavoni, from the year 2016 to date, over 10,000 people have been reached with the Gospel. The spiritual impact has now spread to Kitui County.
More training is expected in Kitui, mobilized by Bishop Kamba of Baptist Church and Dr. Makau, a lecturer at Machakos University and a UN Peace Ambassador from Kitui.
During the graduation, Rev. Peter Mulu testified of the impact of The LIFE Ministry Kenya (LMK) in the 70s and 80s in Kitui which stopped after some time. To use his words, ‘tulizimika’. He was grateful to know that LMK is now alive and he wants to host a new centre in Kitui to the Glory of God.
At New Life Restoration Ministries International in Kasemeini, 24 people from 12 churches graduated from NLTC training, and 6 graduated from the Training of Trainers on 18th June 2022. The training started on the 6th and 7th November 2021 when the LMK new staff from the class of 2021 were sent for a mission in Mombasa, led by Rebecca Nzova.
My name is David Munyao. I received a call to follow Christ in my old age. I heard about the NLTC Training when I attended a commissioning service in another church where some of the disciples were older than me.
I seriously thought about my life and realized that I had wasted my time in drunkenness. I talked to one of the brothers and asked him, “Why do you keep telling me about Jesus, yet I have read the Bible about how the children of Israel went round and round wasting their time in the wilderness?"
He asked for my age and I told him that I was 65 years old. He said, “You have also wasted your time taking alcohol." I said to him “I know Jesus. You mean I am not going to heaven?” His answer was that I was far from God. He told me that I must confess my sins and allow Jesus in my life to be my Lord and Savior. So, I decided to receive Christ.
When I joined the NLTC class, we were taught many things. I was introduced to the 4 Spiritual Laws, a small but very detailed booklet. Later we went through 6 follow up booklets. I learnt about the carnal man and realized that I lived a carnal life and all my efforts to reach God were futile. The training entrenched my decision to follow Jesus.
I am a pastor of AIC Rorok. Since we started our NLTC class, I have done ministry in a holistic way. I have realized that everyone in the church is important. We went from house to house with other pastors and many people gave their lives to Jesus. I managed to follow up with about ten members.
Two members who were drunkards are now zealous believers in the church. During the crusade people asked questions pertaining to Jesus Film, like why was Jesus crucified and yet He was God. The four spiritual laws booklet was very helpful because it’s direct and simple. It creates a free atmosphere where both of us can interact well. I also managed to teach four spiritual laws to pp1 pupils in Rorok academy. I really thank God for the NLTC class which really shaped me as a pastor to bring many to His kingdom.
MC2 Training took place in seven different regions namely; Nairobi, Central Kenya, Upper Eastern, North Rift, South Rift, Lake Region, North Eastern and the Coast. 269 leaders were trained. A total of 1928 people were engaged, 402 people made the decision for Christ and 131 New Life Groups were formed. In attendance at the Kisumu MC2 was the PAG Church Secretary General who went ahead and mobilized over 1,450 leaders in the PAG Kisii region for training and church planting.
From a Street Kid to a Missional Leader Bishop Daniel Khatera, one of our key multiplying missional leaders in Kisii (Western Region) Kenya, went through our first cycle of MC2 training. Because of his obedience and passion for the Kingdom, he has developed many other leaders. Frederick Keraro is one of them.
Frederick, who is a second-generation leader after undergoing MC2 Training, reached out to Brian and Josephat (former street kids) through the eternity question, prayed and cared for them. Brian and Josephat committed their lives to Christ and are reaching out to others around them. Both of them have been rehabilitated and are back to school through the generosity of Bishop Daniel.
While in school, Brian went ahead and shared with other boys and now has a 4th generation missional community which meets every Saturday. New believers in Christ have undergone baptism. Through Brian, Dickson was reached and won to Christ, and Dickson has planted a 5th generation missional community with 5 new believers, who meet weekly. Glory be to God that Brian is leading two missional communities. His prayer and passion are that he will continue to be used by God to influence his peers for the glory of God.
God calls whoever He chooses, and it is our duty to respond and follow Him without question.
Mathew 9:9 records, “As Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, “Follow me”. So, he arose and followed him.”
Matthew left the tax booth and followed Jesus. He did not care what his employer would say. The Master had the final say. We are not told whether he took the cash he had collected to the main office or called someone else to stand in his place. What we know is that he arose and followed him. He left his paying job, prestige, and regular income which he enjoyed at the expense of the citizens, and never looked back.
Response to the call of God requires sacrifice, leaving a comfortable, carefree life for the sake of the gospel. Obeying Christ means giving up your own plans and desires and yielding to His will. It means thinking of others before yourself and loving others – even your enemies. God’s provision and rewards, which are plentiful, follow that sacrifice.
Response to the call of God requires intimacy with God in order for us to hear from Him and get instructions for a fruitful ministry. We cannot make it on our own.
We must put away every distraction to be able to hear God’s direction, which we receive by spending time with Jesus, the Father and the Holy Spirit.
Will the joy of serving the Master keep overflowing to those we encounter?
What do we do with the experience we gain from meeting Jesus Christ? Jesus called Matthew and he in turn called his friends, fellow tax collectors, to have an experience with the Savior. We are called to make disciples wherever we go, starting with Jerusalem. For Mathew Jerusalem was the tax booth and his fellow tax collectors.
Who are your fellow tax collectors, those who will not find you in the booth because you have responded to the call of God?
Do they know you have received a higher calling? Think about the Samaritan woman at the well. After her experience with the Savior, the bible records in John 4:28 that “The woman left her waterpot, went her way into the city, and said to the men, Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did.”
For The LIFE Ministry Kenya, 2021 was shaping up to be an interesting year, given the fact that the world was still adjusting to the new normal brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. In the midst of all that, we still trusted God to answer our prayer and bring in more laborers into His harvest field. God answered our request. We had a team of 20 (10 interns and 10 volunteers) who committed to give their time to serve God.
The New Staff Training (NST) was designed by Campus Crusade for Christ for the induction and orientation of new staff globally to inject new manpower into the organization. The class training which took 9 months started in April 2021 and culminated with graduation and commissioning. During the training, the organization’s goal was to help them affirm God’s call in the lives of the participants and equip them to become kingdom laborers.
The volunteers, whose lives were molded in the area of evangelism and discipleship,
were fully equipped to spread the gospel. They went out and shared the message of the cross and souls were won to Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit. The volunteers also served as administrators and were tasked with handling money, budgets, and conflict resolution. Despite challenges, they performed their duties well and God was faithful to see them through. They glorify God for His victory in their lives.
The first mission outreach was in Waa, Kwale County where they shared the message of the gospel in the power of the Holy Spirit and left the results to God. The majority of people in that community are from the Digo tribe and 90% of them are Muslims. Only a few people responded to the good news of Christ.
They issued Bibles which were received with overwhelming gratitude. Most people were not born again and neither understood salvation. Some would go ahead to say, “nilizaliwa ndani ya Christo (I was born in Christ)”. One elderly woman’s response surpassed the team’s expectations. She said that she wanted to have knowledge that will cause transformation in her heart. The team was greatly encouraged and even more when two ladies were led to Christ when they came to receive Bibles. It was a joy for the team to explain the process and steps of salvation and to have them receive Christ.
Training on evangelism and discipleship
is a great need in the church that the team partnered with in Kwale. The pastor requested a follow up next year. We pray that the Lord will indeed enable the team by His grace and that it will bear much fruit and the church will grow to the next level.
The Giriamas in Shaka, Mariakani were very welcoming, peace loving, kind and open to the gospel. The place is very dry like Northern Kenya. Rarely do they receive the rains and hardly do they grow anything. Though they have some boreholes dug by well-wishers like World Vision, the water is not enough for everyone. Nevertheless, they are grateful for what they have.
The team had fun helping carry the water on their heads while others tried pushing the jars with the legs.
The activities in this region were the highlights in the entire mission. The Lord was faithful. Some confessed Christ as Lord and many hearts were ministered to through different activities. There were training classes going on in the mornings for 3 days, outreaches in the afternoon, children’s sessions, Jesus Film in the evenings and donation of benches and Bibles on Sunday. They really enjoyed the shows and were disappointed when we finished early. One week was not enough, they wished the shows and other activities could continue for a few more days.
There are very many kids in this area, sometimes the team would mistake the number in a family thinking some are from the neighborhood. They were willing to have a learning experience. They learnt and recited John 3:16. They would also stay late for the film shows. About 100 children came for the sessions daily and about 300 for the Jesus film. We pray that the seed that was planted and the zeal will grow to greatness in the future.
The couple in the above picture had an interesting story. The team went for outreach and the husband desired to get born again but he said that he had to talk to his wife first and hear if she is willing to walk the journey of salvation with him. He wanted it to be a family affair. They asked the group to go and pray for them after they both agreed to give their lives to Christ. It was a joy to see them show up in church that Sunday.
Upon the request by Pastor Rosemary, the team trained her church’s evangelism team which was planning an outreach the following weekend.
The team also visited a young church in Ukunda that desired to grow their members through discipleship. We pray that the Lord will accomplish His purposes through this church even as they seek to do more outreach.
Finally, the team visited the ocean, enjoyed the waters but also did beach evangelism. The beach goers were keen to hear the gospel which confirms the great opportunity to share one’s faith in uncertain places like the beach. That was an awesome experience for the team.
This year, 2022, the team carried out a follow-up mission to Shaka and reported that the church has continued to grow in membership since the mission last year. The church’s structure has also improved thanks to a partner. It now has plaster walls, more seats and a toilet. The team was also delighted to meet some of the members who went through the Evangelism Training Seminar (ETS) last year. 5 of them in the picture below, have continued to be committed to the church and Bible Study.
The team also had an opportunity during the follow-up mission to visit the Soul Harvesters Church located at Mnazimwenga, Mariakani. This is the mother church of the one in Shaka where the November 2021 mission was carried out. The Pastor was grateful that the team finally made it there and conducted the ETS training for 10 people on how to share the 4 Spiritual Laws.
‘IBUKA’ is a Swahili word meaning ‘to emerge’. The ‘IBUKA’ concept could be represented by the progressive emergence of the butterfly from an egg to a Caterpillar then a Chrysalis into a mature butterfly. This process is intentional and progressive, and its culmination is arguably one of the most beautiful insects known to man. This beautiful story is a picture of how we intend to develop our leaders.
This program is designed to identify, develop and deploy emerging leaders. It was run by The LIFE Ministry Kenya but the training was facilitated by the Global Academy of Transformational Leadership (GATL). The program has been accredited by the International Council for Higher Education as a Master of Arts in Transformational Leadership. GATL has similar programs running in Ethiopia, Zambia, Cameroon and China with plans to open more chapters around the world.
The LIFE Ministry Kenya started IBUKA, with the first class running from 1st July
2018 to the graduation on 22nd March 2022. Keen on Blessing the nations, the team welcomed 5 young leaders from 4 neighboring countries in addition to the 13 Kenyans in the program.
Speaking during the graduation ceremony, Dr. Esther Muchemi, LMK Board member and CEO of Samchi Group of Companies, congratulated the graduates and challenged them to stand in truth based on the Word of God. This is because the greatest leaders we can give the world are those that fear God. Proverbs 29:2 - When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
The project got delayed because of Covid-19, but we eventually were able to launch the Film and plan for the necessary follow-up. The Magdalena Film and other Jesus Film (JF) tools that were introduced were appropriate to use in small discipleship groups and even to start biblical churches.
The Magdalena training was conducted for three days after which the team was sent for a half-day field experience using the Magdalena stories. The churches that hosted the Film shows were left in charge of follow-ups. 10 young people underwent JF technical training as well as training on using the JF App. With this, they will be able to use the JF tools to share the Gospel. A JF bag-pack was left behind to facilitate further follow-up and also for more areas to be reached using the Magdalena Film and Stories. They will also use Walking with Jesus (WWJ) for effective follow-up & discipleship. Local pastors were also trained on using the JF tools for evangelism, discipleship and church planting.
The launch and training were done at Sena in Mfangano Island. The church that hosted the training was Pentecostal Evangelistic Fellowship of Africa (PEFA). Other churches that were invited and sent participants were Full Gospel Church, Teko Roho, SDA, Light of Hope, Christ Evangelistic Church (CEC), Baptist, Pentecostal Assemblies of God (PAG), Power, AFCEA, BTL and Catholic.
Part of the follow-up for the women,
youth and church leaders trained will be The New Life Training Centre to equip them further on evangelism, discipleship and church planting. This will help in multiplying disciples and leaders. The Magdalena shows will be used to reach neighbouring islands (Suba North, Suba South, Mbita & Rusinga) and the mainland.
During the various outreaches, Jesus Film was screened five times and 24 people participated in the Magdalena and JF App training. Glory to God that over 456 people were exposed to the Gospel, with 99 making decisions for Christ.
While witnessing in one of the villages in Ganze, Kilifi County, The LIFE Ministry Kenya team met Mama Lina in her Shamba. She had heard about the 4 Spiritual Laws in Swahili while going through one of our trainings conducted by Lawrence, a former Jesus Film staff. Mama Lina recalled that she had traveled for many kilometers to be trained together with her husband. Even though she did not know how to read, she absorbed the content by listening. It is a joy to know that The LIFE Ministry Kenya (LMK) has had a great impact in remote places (the ends of the world). The team went to her home to see the materials and they got an opportunity to share the gospel with her son who made a decision to receive Christ.
Elsewhere, at PEFA church in Maweu, Kwale County, a lady named Kwekwe knelt and prayed to receive Christ during a training on evangelism. She made the decision after understanding how one receives salvation and what it means for her.
During the Easter season, the Jesus film was shown in 12 local TV stations, exposing over 6 million people to the gospel. In the month of May, the Jesus film was shown in 21 locations. Many gave their lives to Christ and one Church was planted at Kariobangi.
These are some of the events that happened during the National Evangelistic Campaign dubbed ‘White for Harvest’, an initiative to expose 10 million people to the Gospel, which ran for 100 days from
March 23rd to June 30th 2022. It is drawn from John 4:35 which says, “Look I tell you, lift up your eyes and see that the fields are white for harvest
The campaign was launched virtually on 21st March 2022 by the Presiding Bishop of Redeemed Gospel Church and who is also a board member at LMK. In his remarks, Bishop Kepha Omae acknowledged the importance of the initiative saying that LMK was on the right track and recognized
a push by the Holy Spirit for us to go out to the fields and bring in the harvest to the Kingdom of God. Challenging the church, he noted that there are many disciples sitting in church every Sunday and in midweek services yet Jesus Christ asked us to "go into the world and make disciples of all nations". In essence, the greatest commission that we have is evangelism since it is the means through which the Gospel is proclaimed and heard.
White for Harvest campaign sought to mobilize young people, professionals and churches to share the gospel in their different spheres of influence. The strategies implemented targeted ministry were On ground, On-air and Online. All The LIFE Ministry Kenya Staff, volunteers, associates and disciples were involved. The COVID 19 pandemic had hindered us before from conducting physical evangelism thus this was a great opportunity to focus all our resources on evangelism.
It was such a joy to see many Christians equipped on how to share their faith using physical and digital tools. “This is the best training I have had on evangelism,” noted Amos, a campus student. He was
challenged by John Stott's quote, "we must be global Christians with a global vision because our God is a global God." This is a quote that was used in the introductory presentation. Amos mentioned that he now understands that his assignment is global and he can do so with digital tools like the Jesus Film. Naomi Chepkemoi, who attended the same Digital Evangelism Training as Amos, shared that she was happy to know that there are tools she can use for Digital Evangelism. In an age where people post a lot of memes on their platforms, she has an opportunity to share Christ through the films.
The month of March mainly focused on training. From April to June, we had many outreaches. The North Rift team began by actively mobilizing for the White for Harvest campaign through vision casting, recruitment and training. 147 people were equipped for online ministry at Eldoret Bible College. At Chebara in Elgeyo Marakwet, 400 youth leaders were equipped on how to share the gospel using the 4 Spiritual Laws and Digital Evangelism (God Tools). During the training, 83 people prayed to receive Christ. In Eldoret, 18 volunteers were trained on
Digital Tools and the use of Jesus Film for both indoor and outdoor shows.
As a result of the Jesus Film, new converts were added to churches. Some of the pastors were very excited about the fruit of the Jesus Film and Walking with Jesus shows. In some instances, the pastors wanted us to remain in their region for more days since the people still wanted to see the films.
Various Sports Outreaches were carried out in Nairobi, Coast and the Lake Region. There were Football tournaments in Kwanjenga and Korogocho and a Volleyball tournament in Kahawa Sukari. The Sports Outreaches opened doors for engagement in places where traditional evangelism is challenging to do. Sports has helped many young people escape traps of evil and crime. We hope for greater impact as we continue impacting the lives of the youth in the society.
Below is a comment from one of our partners:
"You chose a very difficult place to start. Jericho too was the most difficult city to
conquer in the promised land because it had fortified walls and a strong army, yet it was where the LORD began. Insecurity, drugs, broken families, teenage parents and youth gangs is what Korogocho is known for. What we needed is the LORD to give us that place and sure enough we have made inroads.
The Korogocho Football Tournaments was planned to reach the youth in the community and over 400 were reached, with 98 people indicating a decision to follow Christ. The first tournament took place on 7th May 2022 at Korogocho Glory Secondary School grounds and 6 teams participated. The second tournament happened on 14th May 2022 at Korogocho Stadium with 196 registered players. The key partners were the Kkrew, Ambassadors Football Kenya and Korogocho Pastors. The tournament also opened an opportunity to train pastors before the outreach on how to use Jesus Film App.
The coastal region held a Basketball and Football Tournament at Baraki KPA Sports ground and Lwanga Primary school in Changamwe. One player was asked what he thought of the Gospel and he confessed that it was life transforming. He now understands that there is more to life than playing. Henceforth, he will be playing with a different perspective and with a greater goal. 16 teams participated in the Coast Football Tournament. Nelson was one of the partners who was invited to help with the outreach. He shared his testimony about his strained relationship with his father before he knew Christ. He later understood the love of God as a Father and as a result restored relationship with his earthly father. He encouraged the young men to take responsibility in their lives and in society.
During the campaign, we partnered with other churches and organizations for the Great Commission.
The LIFE Ministry Kenya Board Member, Advocate Kamonjo Kiburi, in partnership with The Full Gospel Churches of Kenya carried out an evangelism outreach mission from April 7th to 8th in Maji Mazuri, her hometown. Advocate Kamonjo is the Board member currently giving oversight to the South Rift Region. They had an opportunity to show the Jesus Film and expose close to 400
people to the gospel. They also carried out a Faith Walk around the area.
Kwale Mission outreach organized by the Antioch Community Fellowship (ACF) women leaders happened from 15th to 18th April 2022. The mission was in partnership with The LIFE Ministry Kenya, LIFE International and Prayer Intercession Ministries. During the mission, foodstuffs were donated to more than 70 needy families. The Jesus Film was shown in Duruma. In the newly planted Church in Ganze, members shared Holy communion for the first time that morning since the Church was planted!
Bernard from Life Challenge visited the Coast Region LMK office and expressed interest in partnering with the team after they shared their vision and mission. He invited the team for vision casting to different groups of pastors and church leaders in Shimba Hills, Kwale county. A total of 131 leaders were reached in Mangawani, Shimba Hills and Mazimalume to the Glory of God. The Mombasa team partnered with PEFA
church in Maweu, Mariakani. Conversations with the pastoral team opened a door to engage a team of students from different schools. They were able to train about 50 students on the 4 Spiritual Laws. The team cast their vision and shared how to witness using the 4 Spiritual Laws. Both teachers and students appreciated hearing and understanding the assurance of salvation.
Thanks to some of the outreaches we have now started engaging pastors on how to start discipleship classes to equip them for effective follow up. Together with Pastor Kiptoo, Simon Andiki did a successful vision casting and Evangelism Training Seminar in Sigor, Central Pokot. In attendance were 27 leaders from 10 churches across the region. After the training, the team went out witnessing and shared the gospel with 28 people. They started the NLTC Class (a 5-month discipleship training) at the end of July 2022.
We celebrate God’s victory for the many Kenyans who have come to the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ through the ‘White for Harvest’ campaign.
The Significant Woman training is a discipleship life coaching resource of Campus Crusade for Christ, for use with Christian women of all seasons and walks of life. It is designed to equip women with the principles for living a purposeful and meaningful life.
The course is designed to help ladies know God more intimately and walk with Him moment by moment. It sets up to help women discover personal missions and how God connects our uniqueness to His mission. Being authentic with God, self and others.
The training took 10 weeks and had eight women who went through the training and completed all the requirements. God desires for women to live a life of significance since they are God's pearls. Each learner had their own coach for the 10 period week to walk with, talk to and catch up with class weekly assignments.
Significant Woman seeks to empower women to live focused on their journey and in the direction God wants them to go. They are equipped to deal with hindrances to their journey of living lives of significance. The training also teaches about the seven rooms which ministered to us differently in terms of our weaknesses and strengths, the room includes, best friends, being renewed, business, body, belief, budget and beloved.
The session finished with a graduation ceremony and commissioning was done by the LMK Director for the women to go serve. The team went through the pearls which are 6 biblically-based principles that equipped them to live a life of significance.
The pearls are:
• Pursuing your uniqueness a principle that helps in renewing your hearts
• Embracing the source is a principle that helps in refocusing yourself to God as your true north.
• Activating your mission is a principle that helps in shaping your intellects, emotions and will. Refocusing your life is a principle that helps you to
know how to live connected to God and His unique personal mission for your life.
• Living intentionally which was active in terms of keeping and helping you to progress in your journey of life.
• Sustaining your life is a principle that gives you the ability and strength to live effectively and reach out to others.
Over the years, The LIFE Ministry Kenya has impacted millions of people in Kenya and beyond. As the ministry prepares to celebrate 50 years of God's faithfulness in ministry, we look back to ask how this has been possible.
The organisation has been blessed with vigilant staff and great ministry materials and tools. However, this is not exactly what has kept the ministry going and relevant all these years. The reason for this success has been purely the hand of God.
In John 15:4-5,7 the Bible says that apart from Christ we can do nothing. To yield fruit, we have to remain connected to the vine. The ministry has been very intentional with prayers because it understands that ministry without prayer is empty.
With Covid 19 opening doors through the digital platform to have weekly staff meetings on Zoom, we have been able to bring all staff together every Tuesday unlike in the past years. Staff serving in
the different regional offices meet at the different offices and join the national office for the prayers via zoom. This has enabled the prayer team to grow to have members from each of the 7 regions so that it is now a national prayer team. During this time, staff pray for LMK ministry needs, activities, staff needs, different counties, as well the world at large.
Twice a year, LMK participates in the Worldwide Day of Prayer, to pray for the needs of the different regions and countries. Additionally, at the beginning of every year, the ministry dedicates 21 days of prayer and fasting that culminates with a three days of prayer and fasting retreat for men and women.
In these retreats the staff enjoy a time of bonding, listening from speakers, praying for one another and their disciples. Open discussions on various issues relevant to them are also held. This year we had a larger group which included; interns, volunteers and also those joining new staff.
2022 Prayer Focus has been guided by this year’s theme, Blessing the Nations. In Psalm 2, the Bible encourages us to ask God for the Nations and He will give them to us, and make the ends of the earth our inheritance. Therefore, the essence of prayer in ministry will never be over emphasised.
The ministry continues to strengthen the movement of multiplying prayer teams in all our regional ministry hubs. This will be done through training, equipping and mobilising 1000 intercessors (staff, associates & volunteers) in our regional offices.
On Saturday 27th August 2022, a prayer drive was carried out by the Ol Kalou Associates Movement. The prayer ride started in Olkalou to Oljoro Orok stage. In each stopover, the bodaboda operators shared the Gospel. A new fellowship at Kwa-Mukurinu, has been born out of the prayer drive.
The International Leadership University (ILU) is a Christian University with a vision of developing leaders of integrity for Africa and the world, and a mission to educate and train Christ-like visionary leaders to spearhead holistic transformation. ILU is sponsored by The Life Ministry Kenya.
Since accepting its first four students in 1981, ILU has graduated more than 1,540 students from academic programs (representing more than 20 African countries and beyond) and more than 54,125 students from short courses offered in institutions, churches, communities, and other organizations. ILU Alumni are serving in diverse sectors of society.
ILU city campus is in Kilimani, Nairobi. We have started building the foundation of our University in Kitengela, Kajiado County, 40 kilometers from Nairobi, which will house 3,000 students. ILU has partnered with Kajiado County Government, corporates, NGOs, and other academic institutions to increase our reach and influence.
Formerly known as Nairobi International School of Theology (NIST), ILU has sister institutions in Burundi, Ethiopia and Nigeria (Africa Centre for Theological Studies), in Ghana and Zimbabwe (Africa Leadership and Management Academy) and in DRC (Institut Facultaire De Théologie Appliquée).
ILU’s Sponsor, the Governance organs (Board of Trustees and University Council), faculty, staff and students have helped to promote ILU’s uniqueness and contributions in Kenya and Africa in the following ways:
1. ILU was the second private university to be registered in Kenya, after USIU, and celebrated 40 years of educational service to Africa in 2021.
2. ILU was the first private university in Kenya to offer Master’s degrees.
3. ILU pioneered mobile learning before the advent of online learning, along with other innovations over the years.
4. ILU, then NIST, was the first seminary in Africa accredited to offer Theological Education by the Accrediting Council for Theological Education in Africa (ACTEA). All ILU academic programs are accredited by the Commission for University Education.
5. In October 2021, ILU held a virtual research fair, which attracted over 300 people from 16 nations, with over 100 attending from outside of Africa. This dissemination will ensure that research does not remain in the academy but benefits society through synergistic partnerships with industry.
6. ILU commits to NOT only train students in competencies but also in character development, and to prepare graduates for contextual relevance and transformation. Given the challenge of vices such as corruption and fastweakening moral values, ILU seeks to personally mentor each student (in character and professionally), to equip them holistically through the weekly chapel fellowships and prayer times, which produce well-prepared leaders for today’s and future marketplace, which is dynamically changing.
ILU has impacted the society, especially to the Church, contributing to greater engagement in the recently concluded general elections in Kenya, by training thousands of pastors and churches on peaceful elections, choosing value-based leaders and also holding those elected to account, for good governance and national development. We also reached out to those who did not make it in the elections, attracting over 400 candidates. These pace-setting areas are often neglected yet they affect the lives of citizens, families and the nation in general. These are some of the outcomes of ILU’s vision of developing leaders of integrity for the holistic transformation of Africa and the world.
ILU’s Kitengela campus will enable us to develop a critical mass of value-anchored leaders who will multiply generations of young people who are driven to be servant leaders transforming societies, stewarding resources with integrity and leading with a heart for the people. The campus sits on 50 acres of land. ILU acquired the land in 2007, but started construction in early 2022, thanks to many individuals and institutional partners who are investing in ILU’s noble vision.
ILU Kitengela will provide new ultra-modern infrastructure to ensure an excellent learning and research environment for students, and facilitate scholastic engagement and retreats for leaders from various sectors, especially the church. ILU Kitengela will be a sustainable campus using renewable energy, with fully ICT-integrated facilities for both physical and online teaching and learning.
The campus will have student accommodation, teaching and learning facilities, a modern research, retreat and conference center (which will help preserve value-based leadership in audio, video and print media), a health center, a chapel and sports stadium which will serve the Kitengela community as well. The University will further benefit the community through early childhood and primary schools, as well as providing employment thus stimulating the local economy.
The first phase of the new ILU campus requires KShs 175 (USD 1.45) million. 24.3% of that amount has already been pledged or given (in cash and in kind) through win-win partnerships with individuals and institutions. Our partners are visionaries who wish to leave a legacy of investing in better and transformed societies for future generations, while helping to fulfill the Great Commission.
We invite you to partner with ILU by investing in this noble vision. You can partner through your TIME (Time, Influence, Material support/finances and Expertise) to multiply leaders of integrity in Africa and the world. God will not forget your labor of love in this cause, and will replenish your storehouses, for his glory.

The LIFE Ministry Kenya is poised to be a stage 3 country anytime from now, characterized by contributing leadership, finances, movement models, etc. to global Campus Crusade for Christ (CCC) and its mission. Manpower or labourers for the Great Commission is not the problem in our ministries. Our problem in Kenya and generally in Africa is low staff support, low sustainability and low infrastructural capacity. Africa does not have any stage 3 country according to the criteria set by the Global Executive Team of CCCI. Currently we have 16 stage 3 countries globally. We plan to be among the first 34 countries to accomplish the global goal of 50 stage 3 countries in the next 5 years. In line with our ministry theme of “Blessing the Nations” from
Genesis 12:1-2, we want to be a blessing to other nations in Africa.
The capacity and potential are there, because we have emerged first in Africa in a number of areas: We were the 1st African country to host IGNITE Africa event in 2018, the 1st African national ministry to be accredited by Africa Council on Accreditation and Accountability since 2018, the 1st national ministry to have sent missionaries who led 11 countries as national leaders in the 90s and the list continues. We have already advanced to reach our national scope with 7 regional field offices, contributing globally to the Great Commission’s fulfillment with global leaders and the ONLY missing criterion is local sustainability.
In the face of having young and vibrant staff, the ministry is yet to fully engage like-hearted partners in giving their L.I.F.E (Leadership, Influence, Finances, and Expertise) towards the fulfillment of the great commission. The days of missionary receiving and dependence on external funding are long gone. The movement building work of Win-Build-Send ministry is in the hands of Kenyans. We are intentionally making efforts to mobilize L.I.F.E partners who can be involved in extending God’s Kingdom through financial giving which will lead to local sustainability.
The LIFE Ministry Kenya has visionary national leaders and a strong active Board ready to take the ministry beyond 50 years with a new growth curve.
