Health Coaching uses a system designed to train individuals to be practical guides and partners for those learning to adopt new behaviors. The Loma Linda University School of Public Health Certificate in Health and Wellness Coaching is a fully online, three-course program designed to equip individuals with the skills to guide and support others in achieving their behavior change goals.
Loma Linda University School of Religion has launched two new certificate programs — one in Spiritual Care and another in Bioethics. The school is accepting applications for the upcoming 2025 – 2026 academic school year, and applications received before July 31 will be processed in time.
The Spiritual Care Certificate consists of coursework designed to build competence in the delivery of spiritual care to an increasingly diverse patient population. The certificate is offered in two forms that focus on either theoretical or practical applications of spiritual care and can be tailored to offer instruction in spirituality, religious diversity, and end-of-life care.

At the heart of our system is the 482-bed Medical Center, home to:

Our Dennis and Carol Troesh Medical Campus features a new emergency department with:
• Five triage rooms
• Four dedicated trauma rooms

On the new Dennis and Carol Troesh Medical Campus, our nine story Children’s Hospital tower has 364 beds, including 84 new private rooms where kids can heal alongside family. The Children’s Hospital offers:

• Board-certified pediatric specialists
• The San Manuel Maternity Pavilion with private suites for labor and delivery
• The only Level I Pediatric Trauma Center in the Inland Empire, with a dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department.

Loma Linda University Children’s Health has expanded to include our six-bed neonatal intensive care unit in our Murrieta location.

It houses six state-of-the-art surgical suites, a laparoscopic surgery center and an imaging center.
The Transplant Institute is one of the most comprehensive in the country. We perform organ transplants of the liver, heart, kidney and kidney-pancreas, as well as stem cell and bone marrow transplants in our Children’s Hospital.
Our Children’s Hospital has one of the largest NICUs in Southern California and is a pioneer in the field of neonatal heart transplantation.
The International Heart Institute has earned a worldwide reputation for innovation and excellence. Focused on personalized care that balances innovation, education and spiritual support, we have the most comprehensive center in the region for:

Loma Linda University International Heart Institute has been designated by both San Bernardino and Riverside counties as a STEMI (ST-elevation myocardial infarction) Receiving Center for heart attack care for its ability to provide rapid, life-saving responses to heart attack victims.
Loma Linda University Cancer Center is comprised of 11 Centers of Excellence offering the most advanced diagnostic and treatment services for all types of cancers, including breast, head and neck, genitourinary, gastrointestinal and skin cancer. In addition, we were first in the Inland Empire to offer the da Vinci Robotic Surgical System for the treatment of prostate and gynecological cancers. Our comprehensive center also offers stem cell transplants for adults, as well as custom treatment plans for each patient.

The James M. Slater, MD Proton Treatment and Research Center at Loma Linda University Health is the first in the world to offer this type of cancer treatment in a hospital setting.
