OVERVIEW The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine), a partnership between Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU) and Imperial College London (Imperial), is training a generation of doctors who will put patients at the centre of their exemplary medical care. The School’s primary clinical partner is the National Healthcare Group, a leader in public healthcare recognised for the quality of its medical expertise, facilities and teaching. Named after local philanthropist Tan Sri Dato Lee Kong Chian, the School, which was officially opened by Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean on 28 August 2017, is a model for innovative medical education and a centre for transformative research. Graduates of the five-year undergraduate medical degree programme that started in 2013 will have a strong understanding of the scientific basis of medicine, along with interdisciplinary subjects including engineering, technology, business and the humanities. Its first doctors will graduate in 2018 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), awarded jointly by NTU Singapore and Imperial. REDEFINING MEDICINE, TRANSFORMING HEALTHCARE

The brand new 20-storey Clinical Sciences Building (CSB) offers LKCMedicine students state-of-the-art learning spaces, including a Learning Studio and the Anatomy Learning Centre, which consists of a cluster of 11 alcoves distributed around a central teaching core in a realistic and safe environment.
LKCMedicine’s dual campus is a 21st century purposebuilt and sustainable medical campus with learnercentred facilities that support vibrant student life and world-class research. They have been designed specially to promote collaborative learning and interaction among staff, students and researchers, as well as to advance research collaborations across groups.
The LKCMedicine Headquarters is a three-storey heritage building built in 1924 as a hostel for senior medical students. After more than a decade of disuse, the building was carefully restored, preserving more than 15 architectural features of the Palladian-style building. It is now home to our corporate staff, who support the School and its curriculum.
