The global economic cost of anxiety and depression is $1 trillion per year. That is a substantial cost to an issue that is predominantly ignored. 1 in 5 adults in the U.S. will experience a mental health issue each year, with 1 in 6.8 people experiencing mental health problems in the workplace on a weekly timescale. Work anxiety is one such mental health condition which evokes a sizable economic cost from lowered employee wellbeing and sick leave.
