In three fleeting years...

Living Refinery has grown to represent 9 wonderful brands and serve retailers from 5 continents.

At the same time, with the recent pandemic, our brands were faced with a shortage of materials, manufacturing issues and logistical challenges. We’ve seen additional hurdles for our UK operation since Brexit. In such a topsy turvy year our hearts go out to our retailers who have had the toughest of times and we’re so grateful for the support and patience everybody has shown throughout.

We know our brands spent this period to learn, create and refocus. The new projects in development that we’re seeing are getting us really excited.

You’ll see some of the latest products in this catalog and more in the very near future from us.

Our brands continue to show their love of nature and commitment to sustainable and green manufacturing.

All of the solid wood toys by Moon Picnic are FSC certified. Eperfa sources their wood from local forestry in Hungary and insists on slow manufacturing. Pom Maker has transitioned their entire range to FSC wood, on top of their beautiful plastic-free packaging. Goober is bringing a fresh take on all non-toxic crayons.

Fanny & Alexander continues to delight us with a philosophy of nature-inspired play. Our new addition Quelle Est Belle from France simply sums up a lifelong dedication to nature.

We’re thrilled to introduce Nahthing Project from Korea to you this season. Their patented formula for brightly colored children’s bath products using only natural ingredients and no artificial coloring

is exactly what our conscientious customers are looking for.

It is also part of our ongoing effort to make connections to diverse and exciting talent from around the world. We believe our more adventurous retailers who lead the trend will be excited about this new discovery.

Our brands are small and slow. They’re all wonderfully authentic and sincere. Bridging these creative brands and retailers who share the common goal continues to inspire us.

Moon Picnic Moon Picnic’s bestselling My Weather Station and My Calendar are becoming a regular fixture in many children’s rooms around the world as meaningful little helpers and fun companions to their everyday life.

The much requested Forest Mushroom Basket and A Dozen Bird Eggs are finally coming back with new baskets this autumn season.

Young nature lovers are also thrilled with the new Woodland Leaves set, a lovely compliment for forest studies and stories.

Having a timetable for Thomas has helped me explain to him how to plan daily activities for the future. Awhile back, I initially created a timetable on a white board with some listed rules and his favorite things to do during the month.

At the end of each day, I would draw a sad or happy face to describe his behavior.

We now use ‘My Calendar’ by Moon Picnic, which allows him to stay engaged with our future plans. He is now more conscious about time and displays patience when waiting for events that we plan in advance. He understands that the things we can’t do today due to lack of time can be planned for tomorrow or another day, and in turn, keeps him motivated to behave well.

Fanny & Alexander Fanny & Alexander has published its first picture book Hiccup Makes A Leap as a follow up to their wonderful The Nature of Play. Hiccup is a warm, funny and absurd tale about picking yourself up, putting yourself out there and making your invaluable contribution to the world. This memorable character is going to be an inspiration for all little ones growing to find their idiosyncratic voice.

More beautiful books are in the works and the beloved wooden toys will also make a comeback in the near future, so watch this space for more from Fanny & Alexander.

Quelle Est Belle Quelle Est Belle company is an artisan bird call maker based in the Drôme region in the South of France. Monsieur Francois Morel has been making these beautiful wooden bird calls with traditional craftsmanship and locally sourced materials since 1980.

Each call is developed to carefully mimic real bird songs, helping you recognise the bird songs in their natural habitat and communicate with them. They are wonderful musical toys for all ages and tools to inspire a love of nature.

Quelle Est Belle developed a special series of bird call box sets exclusively for Living Refinery.
