ormer Health Minister Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kalemli was having problems with his knee for a long time and he almost came to a point that he was not able to move his leg. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kalemli came to Liv Hospital by hearing its success in orthopedics. A first in Turkey, MAKOplasty surgery was performed by Orthopaedics and Traumatology Specialist Assoc. Dr. Uğur Haklar. Kalemli’s surgery was a success. Kalemli thanked Liv Hospital and Assoc. Dr. Uğur Haklar right after he regained his health in a short time.

DUTCH CAPTAIN RECOVERED FROM INTESTINAL OBSTRUCTION IN LIVHOSPITAL Liv Hospital Medical Director and General Surgery Specialist Prof. Dr. OktarAsoğlu, removed two meters of Dutch captain Andre J. Van Schoonhoven’s infected intestine with an emergency operation.

fter making the necessary examinations, intestinal obstruction was detected in Andre J. Van Schoonhoven’s body. Operation decision was made in 10 minutes. Prof. Dr. OktarAsoğlu removed the infected part with a successful operation. Liv Hospital gave the good news to the young captain who rested in intensive care unit for the remaining the two days. Examinations showed that Schoonhoven did not have cancer, he had a one in a million-very rare diverticul disease. Schoonhoven regain his health after the operation and thanked Dr. Asoğlu by saying, “ It was a great chance to come across Dr. Asoğlu and Liv staff. I had my examinations and my surgery with high-tech equipments. I felt like I was in a sci-fi movie. “
