Difference Between a Car Battery and Tractor Battery
A farm tractor battery is not an amped up car battery. There are fundamental differences between the two, hence you cannot use a car battery for starting a tractor.
Service and Durability: The first thing that differentiates a tractor battery from a car battery is the service life and durability. A tractor is driven in harsh weather and terrain, hence needs higher cold cranking amps and deep-cycle service that delivers more amp hours. CCA is the amount of power needed for starting an engine and AH is the measure of power a battery can provide over a length of time.
