The initiate is expectedtoovercomestruggle,overcomefear,remainsteadfastinhisgoal,find understanding, experience triumph, and earn the right of manhood, and spiritual salvation It is from this great and ancient, sacred, and secret history that the Phi Psi Lambda Leader was founded. This stage focuses on removing the boy energies from the initiate and moving him into the direction of exercising man energies

The story of our brotherhood is one of vision and determination, one that stretches from Chicago, IL, to Paramus, NJ. This journey, like the one Grand FounderDr.DamyenDavisundertook,waslong bothindistanceandinpurpose. Dr Davis embarked on a 12-hour drive, not for leisure or convenience, but for something greater: the next stage of his mission to uplift and empower male students of color That drive, much like the one we all must take within ourselves, wasatestamenttocommitment.Hesawavoidoncampus,alackofmotivation, achievement, and engagement among students of color And where there was onceavoid,heenvisionedaspaceforleadership,excellence,andbrotherhood.
Dr. Davis’s keen perception revealed that many male students of color were notbeingrecognizedorcelebratedfortheirsuccesses.Withoutacknowledgment, there could be no model for future generations to aspire toward He knew that leadership had to be born from within, and that the community needed leaders who could serve as beacons of hope and excellence Thus, he set out to build somethingthathadneverbeenbuiltbefore anorganizationthatwouldnotonly recognize the potential of men of color but also empower them to reach new heights. And so, Phi Psi Lambda began, with a vision to inspire and elevate throughleadershipandbrotherhood
As Dr Davis immersed himself in his new role, he encountered a group of students who, like himself, were exceptional. These young men embodied the qualities that Phi Psi Lambda would come to cherish: strength, courage, intellect, and a drive for excellence. Each of them brought something unique to the table, whether it was Founder Juan Hurtado’s strength to pursue his own happiness, Founder Jordan Posada’s weighty sense of responsibility, or Founder Fernando Senchi’s uncommon practicality These individuals did not wait for leadership to find them they became leaders through their own merits, guided by the principlesthatwouldlaterdefinethisorganization
The path forward was not easy Grand Founder Dr Damyen Davis, affectionately known as Big Brother PowerTrip, extended an invitation that would challengethesementorisetotheirpotential OnJuly5,2016,nineprospective
candidates received The Sealed Parchment, a symbol of trust and opportunity Eight of them solved the riddle and made their way to the Informational, where theyweremetwithachallengetotrustnotjustinDr.Davis,butinthemselvesand in the vision he had laid out Trust was the foundation upon which everything would be built, and by the end of the meeting, the first group of Lambda initiates hadmadetheirchoice:“Wetrustyou”
Trust became the cornerstone of Phi Psi Lambda, as the six men who kept their word and remained steadfast in their commitment became the founding members of the organization On September 24, 2016, they were initiated by Grand Founder PowerTrip as Lambdaship The First Class, marking the beginning of something monumental This day, which also marks the founding of the organization,willforeverbeetchedinourcollectivememoryasthedaythevision becamereality
The first Chapter meeting of the Alpha Chapter was held on this same founding day, cementing the legacy of those who would lead Founder Jordan Posada was appointed the first Pharaoh, entrusted with the responsibility of guiding the organization through its formative years Founder Tristan Anderson became the first Vizier, offering wisdom and support, while Founder Justin Anderson was named the first Scribe, tasked with preserving the records and history of the Chapter Together with the first Kenbet Founder Fernando Senchi as Chief High Priest, Founder Juan Hurtado as Second High Priest, and Founder Elisha Phillips as Third High Priest they formed the core leadership that would drivePhiPsiLambdaforward.
